Agreed, can't see anyone deposing him for a few weeks. TT will have to settle for No.2.

ISTM they have a large enough fanbase for the to beat what would be Ed's 4th week sales, especially as there won't be the same Xmas run-up factor that propped up sales of '25'.

Yeah, my guess at the moment is that Take That with their months of pre-orders will be able to sneak a week ahead of Ed, though obviously he'll overtake the week after.

However, I'm prepared to revise that prediction looking at Ed's sales in the intervening weeks.

Take That's previous Studio Album "III" started with Sales of 144,538 in Dec 2014, Would suspect this comeback will generate fewer opening Album Sales given it is not the run-in to xmas and there doesn't seem to be too much excitement around their return. It will be Ed's fourth week but his substantial streaming may make the difference.
It's not the run-up to Christmas but it is two days before Mother's Day, FWIW.

I wouldn't be surprised if Mother's Day boosts Ed more than Take That.

^^As much as it pains me to say I think Ed could hold off That That - admittedly they are an 'albums act' now but their last album sold 145,000 on the back of a #1 single - this era they have had a fan base led single with a chart run of 13-92 so the casual fan/general public probably doesn't even realise they are back.

I really hope they pull it out of the bag with promo as I can see this being am underperforming album by their standards and it's doubtful they will be able to produce another hit from the album so promo will be critical.

I really hope Julia Michaels is top 40 this Friday.

Had thought Steps would make the top 10 in the first set of midweek information.
Can see Steps ending around 35-40, given they've got absolutely no extra sales coming from streaming. Can't see them getting more than 15k for the week, which would have only just got them into the top 40 last week.
It would have been nice if Steps had been given the end slot on SNT and Kaiser Chiefs done the 'Sing-Along Live' part, but I guess I Predict a Riot isn't well-known enough for people to spontaneously know the llyrics :(

I'd say it is?

I always hear people sing along to it word for word if I hear it anywhere.

Steps are on lock for a certain top 40 which is enough for me (as much as it was incredible to see them at #1 on iTunes for a bit).

I mean, I never thought they'd ever have an official top 100 again after Light Up The World missed the top 75 five years ago when streaming wasn't even counted.

oh it's true, I kinda though this was Steps comeback like the first album since Buzz in 2000

but just remembered they had a flop single/album/comeback a few years ago
