March 21, 20178 yr Ed is not quite going to make 200k this week is he with "Divide" unless there is a late boost due to run-up to Mother's Day? Sales still holding up well and he should make 120k next week which will surely be enough to hold off Take That? He should do. If he holds the 26k he sold yesterday for the following three days that will total 78k; add that to the current 120k which is a sum of 198k alongside the additional units from added streaming. Also, the Mother's Day effect will more than likely be seen in next Monday's midweeks as the biggest boosts will take place on the Friday, Saturday and possibly Sunday. After that, there will be an expected decline in overall sales for the remainder of next week. One downside to the Friday chart launch is that effects from special occasions like Mother's and Father's Day are now split between the two weeks so it's harder to distinguish the impact that the occasions have by looking at the finalised charts. On a side note, I can't see Take That selling anywhere near as much as Ed will in his fourth week. They will lead the Saturday update, but by the Monday I expect their lead to have diminished significantly and by midweek I think Ed will have overtaken them.

Whilst I agree with most of what you say last Tuesday's Sales figure (approx 26.5k) for Divide was the lowest daily number in the week (it was odd given it sold approx 36.3k on Monday and 33.2k on Wednesday), I guess Tuesday is typically the lowest Sales day for Albums (for added Sales). March 21, 20178 yr Doesn't look like Galway Girl will topple Shape this week then. Really hope Anne-Marie clings on to that Top 10 even if she drops a couple of places by Friday! Not looking forward to the Drake infiltration :(
March 21, 20178 yr Looks like my prediction of Drake being top 10 with Passionfruit is going to be correct after all ;) I had a feeling there would be one track take off more than any other, it always seems to be the case as seen by Cold from Stormzy, Galway Girl from Ed Sheeran - and now this. I really hope he gets a fair few songs in the top 40, but not too many in the top 20 as I want to be able to enjoy the chart come Friday.
March 21, 20178 yr don't all Drake songs have profanities? :D don't think R1 can play themRadio edits? I doubt R1 will play most of the Drake tracks anyway, they'll just play the top one or two.
March 21, 20178 yr Radio edits? I doubt R1 will play most of the Drake tracks anyway, they'll just play the top one or two. They'll play the ones in the top 10 if they enter the top 10
March 21, 20178 yr Drake is set to have nearly a whole quarter of the top 100 this week - all 22 songs on the album plus 'One Dance' and his feature on Nicki Minaj's 'No Frauds'. Oh no  I am not a fan.
March 21, 20178 yr They'll play the ones in the top 10 if they enter the top 10 Well I'm pretty sure the ones in the top 10 will enter the top 10
March 21, 20178 yr Hopefully Ed and Drake won't knock out too many of those in the 5-10 range on the chart! Great to see album sales so healthy for the time of year. Will be interesting to see what the mother's day boost does to the albums chart.
March 21, 20178 yr It looks like Drake will get 2 in the Top 10, possibly 3. Slightly going unnoticed though with all this going on is the 11-week reign of “Shape of You” - the joint 4th longest consecutive run of all-time at #1 with Slim Whitman and the longest run at number 1 by a song that debuted there.
March 21, 20178 yr So drake would have been number 1 very conftobaly without ed that's pretty impressive since he not getting any mothers days sales with no physicals
March 22, 20178 yr So how many Ed and Drake songs will make up the top 100 then? About 40? Seems about right. You've got 38 guaranteed from all the album tracks, plus One Dance and TOL should remain.
March 22, 20178 yr I wonder if that Comic Relief track will be #1 next week it features Ed Sheeran :drama: I'm not really sure if the track will get there to be honest, as charity tracks tend to flop these days, but with Ed Sheeran on it, maybe a slim chance.
