Stormzy is releasing a brand new single with Little Mix - it's called 'All Over Me' and was registered on iTunes earlier today.

 

The track is said to be out 27th June, but that might be a placeholder date for a closer release. Expect it out in the next month or two regardless!

Why does he need to do this? Does reek of sell-out. Surely he could be pushing songs like 'Bad Boys' or 'Blinded By Your Grace' from the album instead.

and I thought the whole selling point of Stormzy was that he doesn't make pop records like other big rappers have (Tinie, Dizzee, Chip). would certainly do him more harm than good if he watered down for a Little Mix collab.

However, Digital Spy has reached out to representatives for both Little Mix and Stormzy. His spokesperson has since told us of the apparent single cover: "This is a fake image."

Yeah it seems to be a fake, but Stormzy and Little Mix have worked on something together so we'll probably hear news of that soon.

I think it's more likely to be Little Mix having him on a re-release or something, but I don't think it's exactly career suicide as they are quite credible for a pop act and given their sound in Salute they could easily do something more urban. If they strike it right it's genius for both. It's not like he's doing a collaboration with Daphne & Celeste :lol:

 

As long it's not for Power as that would totally ruin the message but I doubt they'd do that. My biggest bit is them recruiting him for a re-release lead single, and I'd LOVE something more urban from them <3

Stormzy's album is surprisingly good! So I am here for this. I can imagine it'll be more Stormzy feat. Perrie (think Tinchy feat. N-Dubz/Dappy) or Little Mix feat. Stormzy haha. But we shall see. I don't think he'll water down his sound too much in all honesty. His album is surprisingly commercial!

Although I don't think this is true if it is then I'm very excited. Two artists right on top of their game at the moment. Although I wouldn't really agree that Stormzy's selling point is that he doesn't make pop records. Seeming that he's made songs with Nick Jonas, Ed Sheeran, Linkin Park etc. I think he's already seen as quite a 'poppy' grime artist.

I don't think he really makes pop as such, he makes grime that is quite accessible. I suppose though he is quite pop as pop just means popular :lol: He takes an underground genre that's quite a niche and makes it ready for the chart.

This could be a huge mistake if it does happen, I'll reserve judgement until if/when I hear the song.

Stormzy has of rnb features on his album, Little Mix wouldn't sound too much different than having someone like TLC or Destiny's Child if they went for more of their Salute sound and provided some harmonies. It's not a big deal really. He's praised the girls as a credible pop act in the past.

 

(But yeah, it seems like he's featuring on their single, not the other way around).

Could be a sign of genius from these two if the track sounds right like Liam said.

 

I'm intrigued.
