Fair play Man Utd fans, won the game in a 20 minute spell. We looked shell shocked after that and struggled to get back in to the game. 2nd half completely different. Another day we get something out of the game but the luck just was not there for us today, especially with the penalty shouts (of which Salah's was a stonewall). Man Utd playing like the Alamo siege in the 2nd half, bloody typical. Annoying but no shame in losing to Man Utd at home, plenty to look

Man Utd did a great job marking/fouling Salah out of the game. Didn't get a sniff all game and when he did he was off colour.

Game of two halves if there ever was one. We played brilliantly the first half and rashford was bloody brill. Was dying for him to get that third when he was unjustly hooked for the useless waste of space. Liverpool played far better the second half than they did the first but I think the fact that we scored their goal for them is a reasonably good summary of their match. A lot of the ball but never really a danger with it, should have done much more.

And the less said about the performance of the ref the better. He had a f***ing abysmal match. Absolutely no spine whatsoever

We couldn't create much, but neither could you because you were playing with a line of 6 most of the time. It's games like this where we miss Coutinho as he could just pull a worldie out of nowhere. We still got in to some dangerous positions but it's difficult to get the right turn/space sometimes.

Yes the referee was terrible. Missed a few penalties which could easily have been given (for Liverpool), Rashford should have been sent off, Valencia could have been sent off, Lovren could have been sent off, Sanchez should have been booked. He was largely terrible today but not the reason we lost.

If Mata had put his head on it instead of pissing about with an overhead kick, we'd have been 3 clear at half time so I think we created plenty in the first 45, but there were times in that second half I was wondering if we were up to 7 or 8 across the back!!! Bus was very firmly parked!

Both teams we're evenly matched in this respect I thought as if the Ref was going to start sending people off, both of us would have been down to 8/9 players by the end and that I don't think would have been a game either of us would have wanted to see. As it was, it was a really good match worthy of being the 2nd vs 3rd place battle it is.

Yes the Mata thing was strange, don't know what Lovren was doing in that moment. Van Dijk scores the free header and it's a different game. It's fine margins, unfortunately we lost today but not a big thing in the grand scheme of things.

The only players that should have been sent off are Rashford and potentially Valencia for the high boot. Lovren at a push too, but it would have been harsh. I don't think it would have changed the game much as the Liverpool needed to take risks and Man Utd were always going to park the bus.

It looks like all hell is breaking loose at West Ham at the moment. Fans protesting during a match against the board and another defeat this time to Burnley. I saw a video of West Ham fans abusing David Gold last week and it seems like the situation there is going to get worse.

I feel like I am losing my club and it breaks my heart.

Liverpool game basically went like I said earlier in the week United have a better balance and defensively are physically stronger but Liverpool had enough of the ball to at least get a draw but you must be clever with it they scored by going down the wings and their best first half chance was made that way too and yet they kept trying to play through the middle for whatever reason where united are strongest and with the help of a spineless ref who did little to prevent continuous low scale fouling by Young in particular.

Not the scenes you want to see in the game with pitch invasions. Yes this situation will definitely not go away.

I feel like I am losing my club and it breaks my heart.

The scenes yesterday were pretty bad (although nothing like the worst of the 1970s violence)and made worse by following the tribute to Bobby Moore at the start of the game. It was heartbreaking seeing fathers taking their sons out of the ground for their own safety. David Moyes' comments after the game were not exactly helpful.

It's just not the same anymore. Leaving Upton Park, which I accepted at the time, has not resulted in the investment in the team the fans were promised. The problems with the stadium itself are well documented - I've only been to one home game this year and generally go to the away games instead. Even something small like changing the badge and shoehorning 'London' onto it. The club are trying to go upmarket and ignore our roots - West Ham are not Arsenal or Chelsea. Fans would have been happy staying at Upton Park.

Ironically, the team remain as useless as ever. While angry, I honestly believe we would not have seen scenes like yesterday's at the old stadium. I totally understand the fans frustrations, and while not condoning what happened yesterday, I'm not surprised the fans are not sitting back and taking what is happening.

I heard that David Sullivan got hit by a coin as well during the commotion yesterday. I feel bad for West Ham right now, it's clear that the move to the Olympic Stadium was more about marketing than about moving the club forward. Upton Park had a more intimidating atmosphere for opposition teams as the fans were closer to the pitch so they could create a better atmosphere. The last match at Upton Park against Man United in particular showed how much of a positive impact that stadium had on West Ham.

I don't think West Ham will get relegated, Southampton have a harder run-in and I have the feeling that Huddersfield will be in the bottom 3 by the end of the season.

The move to the Olympic Stadium.. it was essentially a free stadium with no cost to the club and minimal rent. Look I feel sorry for the fans, but there is NO CLUB in the entire world that would turn down a 70,000 stadium for free. If Spurs had their way they would be playing in the stadium and they're not even remotely near East London. Unfortunately that's just the way football is these days, just like the new White Hart Lane will be completely different and how the Emirates is pretty soulless. Clubs make their money from the corporate hospitality, it suchs but that's the way football has gone.

The idea is of course to move forward for West Ham, I mean they have the location and the infrastructure to become more successful. However their problem is largely the owners. Countless times I believe they are sold players rather than having an active strategy and mouthing off in the press does not help. It's touch and go whether they stay up, the only saving grace they have right now is that West Brom are gone and Huddersfield, Palace, Stoke and Southampton are also in a bit of a pickle. Although I feel the former will be alright.

Jamie Carragher spitting at a 14 year old girl from the car not cool. Should he be sacked?

No I don't think he should be sacked, I hope he doesn't get sacked anyway. He's apologised for what he did and even though it's one of the most disgusting things a person can do I think he should be given a second chance.

I don't know why he got so angry in the first place? the match itself didn't hold that much significance apart from the rivalry between the two clubs. The league was over in December when City won the Manchester derby so is missing out on 2nd place really that big of a deal?

On that note I've just realised that if Man City win tonight it will take their points total to 81 which is the total amount of points that Leicester City got in the season that they won the league :(

In one of Man Utd's title-winning seasons they only got 75 points!

Yeah that's true. It was in the 1996/97 season and it is the lowest amount of points to win the league during the Premier League era. Man City look like they will break the record for most points which is 95 points set by the 2004/05 Chelsea team.

I think he’s a disgusting human, spitting is f***ing vile, but he was goaded and quite heavily at that. There is blame on both sides and GMP should be issuing fixed penalty notices for their driving without due care and attention/using a phone behind the wheel.

I’m in two minds about him being sacked. He’s not entirely to blame for the situation but he chose to react how he did and that was in the most disgusting manner possible and that shouldn’t go unpunished. Not envious of the person making that call
