June 21, 20178 yr It's selling 13x more than Despacito which is currently selling 7k a day on iTunes No way Despacito is doing 7k per day on iTunes - its total paid-for sales last week were 38k so assuming 35k this week that's ~5k per day total, so maybe ~4k on iTunes? Thinking it's going to be too close for anybody to call this week until the chart is announced, which is always fun! Not really a fan of the Grenfell single on first listen - as usual with these charity singles there are too many artists all getting one line each, so there's way too much ad-libbing and it doesn't flow that well, making it hard to listen to. Fully in support of it getting #1 though, the more publicity it gets the more money is raised after all! :)

It'll do decent on Spotify too as it's top 5 on Hot Hits UK
June 21, 20178 yr Author Wasn't it projected 45k this morning? It would have had to shoot up a hell of a lot to have managed 80k in one day. If it was projected at 45k for 1 day, surely its second day sales will be projected much lower, say 38k for instance, I still think it will settle for #2 just coming short. It be interesting to see the Thursday update, but we are not always guaranteed we get an update tomorrow.
June 21, 20178 yr Despacito has done around 6k on average per day so far. The charity single is on for over 60k sales today ALONE, with the boost from the music video which aired minutes ago still to come. I think it will quite easily make #1.

June 21, 20178 yr I personally think Despacito is on track for ~91k, and looking at Kworb - it seems very possible that it'll shift 89-92k in pure sales. It'll all come down to streaming imo.
