Really shocked to see PSB at #3 in the midweeks. Hopefully it stays top 5, it's a real testament to them that they're doing so well.

It is indeed a great start. At the very least a top ten place beckons :yahoo:

I think Pet Shop Boys may have the stronger claim on that PSB acronym actually.

Thank you I was trying to work out why I couldn't find the pet shop boys anywhere

Well theoretically, once they've had that drop to 300:1 and providing they don't have a sales increase (of 50% is it??) then they should actually fall down at a swifter rate than they do, being replaced by newer songs at the 150:1 ratio. However they won't be in freefall as the 'drop week' might suggest.

Can a track that's been ACR'd to 300:1 get back to the 150:1 ratio?

If so, how? And do they then have 3 weeks grace again before ACR rears its head, or if they drop sales in comparison to the market the following week are they straight back to 300:1?

It needs to increase in sales by 50% to return to 150:1! No word on how it's meant to drop back down to 300:1 but I assume it's a three week period again.

It is actually starting to look like either one of Rag'N'Bone Man or Royal Blood will miss out on the Top 5 (Album) this week - initially I thought this week would be easy for both to stay Top 5 but Public Service Broadcasting Sales have been higher than expected although they seem to be drying up now (less than 600 yesterday).
Can someone explain what ACR actually stands for, I understand what is meant by it given the use in context but what is the actual acronym?

Accelerated Chart Ratio (300:1 streams:sales)

Thanks! (In my head I kept reading it as Automatic Chart Reduction but that makes more sense)

From looking at this update, the Killers look on trach to have 2 top 40 albums on Friday. I understand sales in those regions are low and a few hundred could change everything but they positions seems to improving just slightly :yahoo:

No surprise to see Ed Sheeran clearly back at number 1. I would think he has a few more weeks on and off at the number 1 position.

No it shouldn't, or else it would have ACR...

It should have 300:1 because it's been out for ages

Ed's Divide will probably be the #1 album til September... not many big albums... Lana is released in a couple weeks but if Honeymoon could only do 28K... not sure about this one... guess Arcade Fire have more chances... Reflektor did 45K and their fanbase seems pretty loyal

Yeah I can't see Lana doing much more than 20k realistically given how the singles have under-performed. Arcade Fire have a great shot at #1 though I think.
