Will Luis Fonsi & Dadddy Yanikee feat. Justin Bieber remain at #1 for another week, or will DJ Khaled feat. Rihanna & Bryson Tiller finally get there with Wild Thoughts with Calvin Harris bringing up the rear with 'Feels', collaborating with Pharrell Williams, Katy Perry & Big Sean. New single releases from Zedd feat. Liam Payne 'Get Low' and Kesha 'Praying'. Sigala and Rudimental continue to climb up the charts with their respectable singles 'Came Here For Love' and 'Sun Comes Up'.

HAIM 'Something To Tell You' are the main competition in the album chart, aiming to dethrone Ed Sheeran from the #1 spot. Other notable new album releases from Public Service Broadcasting, K. Koke, 21 Savage, Lucy Rose and This is the Kit. Notably JAY Z has a new album '4.44', where it will chart is anybody's guess

NO OTHER SALES INFO

Both HAIM and JAY-Z got to #1 with previous Studio Albums in 2013 and both with decent Sales (HAIM's 'Days Are Gone' in October with 37k and JAY-Z's 'Magna Carta...Holy Grail' in July with 39k). However, both will struggle to match similar totals this week for differing reasons and it is likely to be a close run thing against Ed.

Edited by timjimlee

I think HAIM will do it, they haven't had a hit single this time around but that didn't stop London Grammar.

JAY-Z's messy release and it not being on CDs/Spotify will cost him.

Ain't Jay Z's album only available on Tidal, as I heard something about it, been on there, that's why I said in the opening post 'where it will chart is anybody's guess'
Ain't Jay Z's album only available on Tidal, as I heard something about it, been on there.

It was a Tidal exclusive for the first week, it's on iTunes/Apple Music now too. No physical release or Spotify though I don't think...

Hoping HAIM do well!

Wild Thoughts has moved up to #1 on Spotify now so I'd imagine it has the top spot in the bag for this week.

Wonder if any of the HAIM tracks would have an outside shot of entering top 40 now that we'll have some dropouts due to ACR. I see them definitely beating Jay Z anyway in the albums, Tidal is still waiting to happen and I don't know anyone actively excited by the prospect of new Jay Z music outside of curiosity at what he has to say about the whole Beyonce/cheating situation.

JAY-Z's previous Album in 2013 was apparently given away free to a million Samsung Galaxy smartphone users in advance of official release, that may have dented the opening total (of 39k). It may, however, have given him a few more fans though - I'm slightly surprised the exclusive Tidal release of '4:44' last week failed to trouble the Top 100, anyone have visibility of whether it made the Top 200?

I saw it today in HMV

I think/hope HAIM will claim it, as many have said Jay Z's limitation of his release could backfire on him. Plus HAIM were recently at Glastonbury

Are you including both versions of Despacito on Spotify? If Despacito doesn't qualify for the 300:1 ratio this week I'm sure it remains Number 1 for another week.

I think that last Jay-Z album was only given away in America (as was the new one, indeed).

No, it was a global release on a Samsung Galaxy Download app, made available for free a few days before it was made generally available.

Don't think the same strategy was used this time as JAY-Z was trying to encourage the use of Tidal this time, this was a paid for release.
