I'm not sure which other countries it was released in, but it wasn't a single in the US, who got 'From the Bottom Of My Broken Heart' instead (we got that too, just a couple of months later).

 

It's such a nostalgic feeling song. I love it, but when compared to her masterpieces... It falls a bit short in my affections.

Also, relistening to Born... And Hear'Say really ripped it off with 'The Way To Your Love' didn't they? Haha.

It's so good but it's overrated on here. It was a huge hit for her in the UK though, so it's understandable. Poor brave 'From The Bottom of My Broken Heart'. Crazy to believe it outpeaked 'Sometimes', tbh. But, I think that's more because BOMT owned radio and sales charts all of 1998 & 1999. It left us about at the right time. Probably have it #20 on my list.

'Till the World Ends' is good but it has absolutely nothing on the rest of the songs in the list. Going to be hard after that though.

I must admit it did seem slightly suss that the next thread was created as soon as Born To Make You Happy was leading after days of it being beaten but I suppose it was about time it went anyway, as much as I love it, convenient timing rather than fixing :lol:

Sorry! It genuinely wasn't done on purpose. I always wait until we have about 30-40 (with most polls edging closer to 40 rather than 30) votes before closing. And from then, it's literally about time that I have to create a new poll. My laptop has packed in and so I do all these recent ones on a tablet, which is horrendous and time consuming :lol:

 

I didn't really wanna ask anyone else to create the next round as I wanted to do as much as I could and I'd already not done the round previous due to being on holiday. So I saw that we had not only reached the target of voters but also, that we had a song that was just one vote ahead and to avoid it from going to a tie and having to wait ages for a tie breaker, I thought it was best to close it.

 

I really thought we were losing Piece Of Me, coz the last time I checked, it was about 2 or 3 votes ahead iirc, we just didn't have enough votes at that time. Definitely looks suspicious now, but it really wasn't intentional!

No, it aint. If anything its underrated by Britney fans just cause it wasnt release outside of Europe.

Every other european country. Somehow only charting in Europe it still managed to top the official World Chart back in 2000. But then it was a big hit everywhere it charted so it makes some sense.
