Big Weekend has been announced today for Dundee, and the first acts announced are:

Presumably The 1975 will headline, and the other one is TBA.

They usually have priority tickets to people who live within the area of the location the Big Weekends are held so you might be lucky.

Radio 1's head of music confirmed in a Guardian article that The 1975 are indeed headlining.

Just looked it up and it was held in Dundee in 2006 and also in Perth (not too far from Dundee) in 2018. Seems a bit unfair when there's so many other areas of the UK that have never had it!

To be fair, the Perth one was a Radio 2 event (as part of the Biggest Weekend) - the Radio 1 event was in Swansea that year!

Bradford is almost certain to host Big Weekend in 2025 as part of their City of Culture celebrations that year as Big Weekend always goes to the Cities of Culture but I wonder where the 2024 event will be held.

Mollie King is back tonight to present Future Pop. No word yet of the weekend shows though

So it's Jamie Laing's last day working with Matt today. I would imagine Mollie is back on weekends from next week.

Oooh new 30STM music coming this year, I’m pleasantly surprised that Radio 1 are continuing to support them (their ages are 51 and 53! :lol:)

Here’s the poster, they’ve said Jonas Brothers are the “opening headliners” (in the past they’ve had Ed Sheeran and Mumford & Sons do that)
