May 4, 20205 yr This Dutch article from March 15 says that the album is called Brightest Blue. https://www.maxazine.nl/2020/03/15/ellie-go...-met-blackbear/
May 5, 20205 yr it also says the album is out June 5 but thats just 1 month away, doesn't sound right
May 5, 20205 yr Honestly I'd be surprised if this came out at all this year, at least with a physical version :')
May 6, 20205 yr Brightest Blue is indeed the title and it will be released on June 12. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0882P9ZCY/
May 6, 20205 yr This is the tracklist, which is split in two sides, according to a reliable source. Also, glad to see that side 2 has only five songs and "Overture" is basically the intro of the director's cut of the music video of "Worry About Me". Poor "Sixteen" though~ Side 1: 1. Start (feat. Serpentwithfeet) 2. Power 3. How Deep Is Too Deep 4. Cyan 5. Love I'm Given 6. New Heights 7. Ode To Myself 8. Woman 9. Tides 10. Wine Drunk 11. Bleach 12. Flux 13. Brightest Blue Side 2: 1. Overture 2. Worry About Me (feat. blackbear) 3. Slow Grenade (feat. Lauv) 4. Close To Me (with Diplo & Swae Lee) 5. Hate Me (with Juice WRLD)
May 6, 20205 yr Actually hyped for this, I’ve never heard an album of hers but the basic bitch in my has loved everything from this era :’) Honestly I'd be surprised if this came out at all this year, at least with a physical version :') News in: I’m an idiot
May 6, 20205 yr I like the album name! I’ll give this a chance tbh I’ve not heard anything from her what’s made any sort of impression on me lately but surely there’ll be something what’s like signature Ellie on here. Really nervous for her for how this will do though! Like after week one I’m not very optimistic
May 6, 20205 yr Lol, so even 'Worry About Me' doesn't make it to the main tracking list (let's face it, Side 2 is essentially bonus tracks tacked onto another disc rather than the end of the first disc). The amount of stops and starts this era has had... I'm surprised we're actually getting an album! :')
May 6, 20205 yr (let's face it, Side 2 is essentially bonus tracks tacked onto another disc rather than the end of the first disc). That's correct and I guess this corroborates that Ellie and her label had a lot of creative and different ideas towards this album and they basically told Ellie to record the ones in side two to get a hit. I have to be honest when the information that the album was going to be split in two parts, I was expecting them to have the same number of tracks (like Love + Fear for example), so it was a surprise when it's not like that and side two could be deemed as bonus tracks or songs from the deluxe version of the album. However, "Overture" seems to be like the perfect transition from the end of side one (or the title track) and "Worry About Me".
May 6, 20205 yr Genius has the songwriting and production credits and are very very exciting, it's really a return to albums 1 &2: Side 1: 1. Start (feat. Serpentwithfeet) (serpentwithfeet, Max Cooke, Joe Kearns & Ellie Goulding) (production by Forest Swords, Max Cooke & Joe Kearns) 2. Power (Digital Farm Animals, Lucy Taylor, Jack Tarrant, David Paich, Jonny Coffer, Jamie Scott & Ellie Goulding) (production by Joe Kearns, Jonny Coffer & Jamie Scott) 3. How Deep Is Too Deep (Joe Kearns, Starsmith & Ellie Goulding) (production by Joe Kearns & Starsmith) 4. Cyan (Starsmith, Jim Eliot, Joe Kearns & Ellie Goulding) (production by Jim Eliot, Starsmith & Joe Kearns) 5. Love I'm Given (Joe Kearns, Jim Eliot & Ellie Goulding) (production by Mike Wise & Joe Kearns) 6. New Heights (Max Cooke, Joe Kearns, Patrick Wimberly & Ellie Goulding) (production by Patrick Wimberly & Joe Kearns) 7. Ode To Myself (Joe Kearns & Ellie Goulding) (production by Joe Kearns) 8. Woman (Eli Teplin, Chris Stracey, Tobias Jesso Jr. & Ellie Goulding) (production by Joe Kearns, Starsmith & Eli Teplin) 9. Tides (Joe Kearns, Starsmith & Ellie Goulding) (production by Starsmith) 10. Wine Drunk (Joe Kearns & Ellie Goulding) (production by Joe Kearns) 11. Bleach (Joe Kearns & Ellie Goulding) (production by Patrick Wimberly & Joe Kearns) 12. Flux (Joe Kearns, Jim Eliot & Ellie Goulding) (production by Maxwell Cooke & Joe Kearns) 13. Brightest Blue (Jim Eliot, Joe Kearns & Ellie Goulding) (production by Jim Eliot & Joe Kearns) Side 2: 1. Overture (production by Joe Kearns & James Wyatt) 3. Slow Grenade (feat. Lauv) (Lauv, Leland, Joe Kearns, OZGO & Ellie Goulding) (production by Joe Kearns & OZGO)
May 6, 20205 yr FYI, "Cyan", "Ode To Myself" and "Wine Drunk" (as well as "Overture") are interludes, despite there's not any specification of that.
May 6, 20205 yr I wouldn’t be surprised if Sixteen and First Time are added to Side Two on streaming services only to get that coin
May 7, 20205 yr so if there's 3 interludes, the album, just has 10 tracks! that's a change! I'm sure there was a 35-track version of Delirium :D

This is the most interested and excited I have been about Ellie Goulding in years.
May 7, 20205 yr Now more excited for this as it's clear the recent singles will not fit in with the rest of the album! I do wonder what's going on behind the scenes as I think Ellie is popular enough with her own sound to be successful long-term and doesn't need to stoop to features and streaming/radio friendly songs. Some of her sell-out moments have worked obviously (Burn, How Long Will I Love You, River etc) but it's clear the most recent singles aren't helping anybody out here! Also pleased to hear we're not getting an album close to 20 tracks - there's certainly a limit of 13/14 before you get songs that don't offer anything new to the project. Power will most likely be a single looking at the writing credits - Jamie Scott has written for a lot for the X Factor alumni but also the likes of Rag'n'Bone Man, Major Lazer and Rudimental. Starsmith helped write for the first two albums and Digital Farm Animals are also good to have on board.
May 7, 20205 yr clearly Ellie and the label don't want the same thing and I guess this is a compromise from both parts she should really change labels or start her own and then she could do whatever she wants
