"Shape Of You" and "Castle On The Hill" aside I'm not fussed on Ed's "Divide" material however I find it refreshing to see somebody here actually commenting nicely about his latest work.

"Shape Of You"

"Perfect" is such dross. I'm surprised "Supermarket Flowers" is the next single, given that it's another slow tempo, though it is less crap than "Perfect" at least.

I think Buzzjack are bigger Ed fans than the chart forum would have you think, Perfect was a top 3 hit on the multichart :kink:

Divide is a solid album I think and the singles have been pretty much as I'd have expected. Perfect was never a huge favourite of mine and I grew very tired of it but it was always destined to be a single so I can't argue with that.

I think pretty much everything from Divide is dross! ('Castle on the Hill' has grown on me a bit over time though).

It's such a shame, I did quite like his x era.

Yeah, I’d say Buzzjack is one of the places on the internet where Ed Sheeran seems most well regarded actually!

You can tell most of his recent songs are cowrites with the guy that wrote all the Westlife songs :/ i used to really like ed but now hes too manufactured and his ballads are too westlife-esque
The disturbed cover was @2 on us itunes a few days ago

Could well be olympics-related

Cant believe Ed is gonna perform supermarket flowers

Hes really going for the SLY moment

Thats why hes picked his sappiest song

Its definitely his worst, embarrassingly bad

If you write a song about your nan

Keep it in the family

No need to put it on album

Was sure we were gonna get a new version of New Man tonight

Duet with j hus or stormzy or any random rapper

A singer should be able to sing about their nan if they want!

Luke Sital Singh - Killing Me is a beautiful example

As much as I hate Supermarket Flowers it is pretty beautiful and I can see it really taking off after it's performed

Let's not forget 'Nan's Song' by Robbie Williams!

How can you hate something that's beautiful? ;)

I loved both of Ed's first two albums. 'Divide' is rather more patchy (the ballads on it in particular are just not as interesting as the ones on his previous albums) but still has plenty of very good songs on it.

Not too fussed on Supermarket Flowers although I haven’t heard it in about 10 months. It might grow on me a bit after seeing the performance and hopefully he’ll have someone else signing with him maybe? Not Beyoncé again but another duet would be nice.

I would’ve preferred something more upbeat like New Man as the next single though as he’s gone from one sappy ballad straight into another. Although maybe he’s waiting for an upbeat song to be a bit of a summer hit?

I like the way you wrote this in poem format like the lyrics of a song!

I don't know the song Supermarket Flowers but if its another ballad I am not very excited to hear it -_-

Do we know if ed is performing solo?

Are you trying to imagine "Supermarket Flowers" featuring J Hus?

'Supermarket Flowers' is an extremely personal song, I don't think it'd make much sense for him to do a duet version of it.

The more or less confirmed songs being performed tonight that I know of are:

- Ed Sheeran - Supermarket Flowers

- Justin Timberlake (with Chris Stapleton) - Say Something

- Rita Ora & Liam Payne - For You (but I have a feeling it'll be a medley with 'Anywhere')

Not too sure if anything else has popped up. But I think Dua will perform 'IDGAF'. There must be a reason as to why they have made it 59p this week?
