Now 100 was always going to be a big seller based on the novelty of it. Doesn’t change the fact it’s the worst one ever.

Now 52 says hello to you :D

Of course, the compilation we all wanted was a compilation of songs that were not included in the main series but get their moment now on one glamourous album.

I have posted this elsewhere before, and it could do with an update (which I might have a go at soon) but this is what I once created to be my own version of Now That’s What I Call Music! Omissions; a 3 disc compilation of the greatest songs to have missed the cut.

Very good, but I would add New Order - Blue Monday, Van Halen - Jump, Madonna - Into The Groove, Paul Hardcastle - 19 and Black Box - Ride On Time from the 80s omissions!

A question for anyone who got one of the tote bags. I ended up with 2 - both are blue with the HMV logo on the top tight and the main Now logo in the centre.

But I have seen a few listed on ebay which are coloured black or white, same Now logo but with the pig where the HMV logo is on mine. Were these given out somewhere else or are they the ones that HMV gave out instore?

I see your Now 52 and raise you Now 59

Neither are stellar but nor do they ruin the concept of the series.

I see your Now 52 and raise you Now 59
Bitch. Leave 59 out of this

Mine has the HMV logo - maybe they were part of an early run?

I was about to say that has 'Love Machine' and 'Obviously' on it, and I will hear no ill spoken!

Now 63 is easily the worst for me, packed full of weaker singles from reality show rejects.

I adore Now 52, but then I was obsessed with the Clubland style chart dance that they packed a lot of that album with.

There are a few good tracks on Now 59 don’t get me wrong, but for me there’s more tracks I don’t like than there are ones I do plus both discs have piss poor openings from Blue and Daniel Beddingfield.

OK, a heavily misguided error on the compiler's part re: Blue and Daniel Bedingfield. However I would argue that both of them were pre-release exclusives and were expected to do a lot better, so they couldn't have foreseen their underperformance. Certainly in Blue's case as it was their farewell single and expected to be a number one thus.

52 is worse because they had the song of that summer from Liberty X ("Just A Little") at their disposal and they still thought Ronan Keating was the sensible option! Not to mention the amount of flops there were (Omero Mumba, hello to you).

Ronan Keating opening Now 52 automatically makes it one of the worst :kink: not to mention the mostly poor disc 2 (though I still have never heard the Omero Mumba track as it isn't on YouTube OR Spotify ) though some credit must be given to the set for all the clubland tracks on disc 1.

Aside: Ronan Keating really was the shitstain on the Now series. I'd have hated on him on Buzzjack so much if it were a thing back then (and I was my age). Dull beyond belief.

59 is iconic just simply for Blue opening with such a terrible song :’)

Eric Prydz should’ve opened the album and one of the best songs was Busted’s final single
