I feel like everyone’s overestimating the power of a Shawn Mendes comeback :P A Top 10 debut is possible but it does depend on the song rather than the artist for him. In a perfect world Drake would fall to allow Rudimental & Dua another #1 each, but it does seem like ACR will be the cause of his demise - which he can easily avoid for a few weeks after Gods Plan is eligible.

any news on clean bandit coming back soon?? sure it's a clean bandit ft sam smith or cb ft jess glynne

They've said before that they have been working on a ~6 month cycle, so there should be something coming towards the end of the month/early April ("I Miss You" came out 27th October 2017).

Could be George Ezra - Paradise?

Incredibly unlikely considering he's not even in the Spotify top 50.

He is doing well on itunes though but that doesn't count for much these days, although I suppose Spotify chart success often comes later after a song does well on iTunes for a while!

Dido’s comeback obvs.

More seriously, I’d hope Arctic Monkeys. Don’t know if they stream well though.

Yes please!

(With a good song, which they're more than capable of)

Given how well their five year old songs are still doing on streaming I think their fans are eagerly awaiting new material which Alex Turner has said is coming 'soon'.

their back catalogue (Do I Wanna Know and Fluorescent Adolescent particularly) does well on streaming, I'd say their first week streams at least will be high but its longevity will depend on the song. A top 10 debut seems likely but can't see them going to #1.

George Ezra is doing the end of the show show on next weeks Saturday Night Takeaway! Could that set ‘Paradise’ up for a default Number 1 on Drakes ACR week?

That'd be quite a turnaround from "Don't Matter Now" (still don't get the flop) - would totally welcome George storming up the charts but his streaming is pretty poor and a TV performance is unlikely to make him climb high enough.

re. Shawn Mendes, I'm not sure a #1 debut will happen but it's worth considering the huge difference between the debut positions of Treat You Better and There's Nothing Holdin' Me Back:

31 Treat You Better

07 There's Nothing Holdin' Me Back

That's quite a remarkable difference! I don't think it's out of the realms of possibility that he could debut at the top with the right song.

We can definitely rule that out - his streaming is nowhere near high enough.

George Ezra would be a welcome #1, although I hope Top 5 at least

I’d be happy with Top 5. Ant & Dec will be the start of the album promo I would think!

Hopefully something decent :P (i.e. not Rudimental or Marshmello please, although those are probably the most likely ones barring a new release swooping in there, boo).

I hope something that actually deserves to be #1 regardless of Drake's ACR status gets it whatever it ends up being anyway.
