At #48 is the only single from Atomic Kitten to feature in the Top 50, with their biggest hit 'Whole Again' which went on to sell over a million copies!! It was their first single with Jenny as a member and Kerry no longer in the group, probably for the best. They even attempted to break the US with it, however failed not even making the Top 100 sadly. It was the start of a surprisingly really successful career for them with a string of Top 10 hits from then on. The song is a nice piece of nostalgia but not something I really enjoy or go back to much, very of it's time.

At #47 is Girls Aloud with 'The Promise', one of their biggest hits as well as their only #01 that wasn't a charity single or their winners single, oops. It also won Best British Single for them at the Brits. I really dislike this single and think it's by far their worst - I find it really jarring and hard to listen to. Still, a lot of you seem to be fans as it still makes it in the Top 50 despite two -1's!

At #46 is Little Mix with 'Secret Love Song' featuring Jason Derulo, the third single off of 'Get Weird'. It was another huge hit for the girls selling over 600,000 copies in the UK and becoming one of their best known hits ... although I think it has been overshadowed and forgotten about fairly quickly but that might just be me. Was always a favourite off of the album for me, Jesy sounds stunning on it, a real proper girlgroup ballad and at the time we hadn't had one in an absolute age either.

I'm glad the horribly overrated 'Love Machine' is out. Sad to see 'Whole Again' leave though, it's an absolute classic.

SLS does feel pretty forgotten, but I'm glad it's relatively high here. All of the girls sound amazing, but Perrie's vocals in particular absolutely kill me. A version with Pt 1's production and Pt 2's lyrics/overall message would definitely be a contender for my favourite LM song.

SLS is still sublime to me. The exact sort of power pop ballad I adore, along with 'Stay' by Shakespeares Sisters. Both absolute faves of mine. 'The Promise' is overrated. I find it annoying and grating at times, but the hook is infectious, I'll give them that. As a big Atomic Kitten fan, 'Whole Again' never really made much of an impression on me, so it always confused me as to how that is the one to break them through and be their biggest hit . They've had better. Both singles and album tracks.

Edit: oh and 'All Fired Up' is a banger, however it's not really one I go back to. If it's in the middle of a playlist I listen to or something though, I always turn the volume to full! I still can't get over that it has 18 or whatever credited writers, for what feels like about 4 lines that are repeated throughout :')

I can't abide Atomic Kitten but I've got such a soft spot for Whole Again  The Promise is a tune, I love that they went for that whole Amy Winehouse 60s influenced kind of thing that people a lot of female acts copied, but somewhat made it their own and stayed true to their sound enough so it still feels like an essential GA song. And SLS is of course brilliant, my fave from that era behind Black Magic, it's so powerful with such meaning but the Pt II on their album is even better

From earlier, I adore All Fired Up  Despite it having not many lyrics and not really going anywhere, it's such a banger *.*

Wow relistening to All Fired Up it is TERRIBLE, even by the Saturdays' standards. I feel like it had some decent remixes at the time to push it up but that single edit went top 3?, wow.

Secret Love Song I've never got. Whole Again, surprised to see this low, it's not really my thing but it's definitely a girlband classic, I suspect its younger voters pushing it down the ways though. Really interesting to see the split between what a girlband song is between voters of different ages tbh.

I'm also really surprised to see Destiny's Child Lose My Breath still here, I keep expecting it to be out in every batch. The fact it got higher for them than Independent Women and Bootylicious... :o

SLS deserves to be last. Terrible song!

Increasing your warn level for this comment.

At #45 is Girls Aloud with 'Biology', a hugely divisive song on here with either largely terrible or high scores! 'Biology' was released as the lead single off of their third studio album 'Chemistry' and was another Top 5 hit for the girls. It has become a fan favourite for the girls and is one of their better known hits, it's very different for a mainstream pop song with it's production and structure making it feel like it's three different songs in one but I think it works for the girls! I would've liked to see it higher, it's one of my favourites from the girls now.
RIDICULOUSLY low position for 'Biology' it should have been top 10 minimum. A masterclass in refreshing girl-group music, especially structurally!

At #44 is Destiny's Child with 'Say My Name', the second single to be taken off of their second studio album ''The Writing's On The Wall''. It has gone on to become one of their biggest and well known hits, being instantly recognizable and always features on many throwbacj R&B compilations/playlists. It hit #01 in the US and was a Top 3 hit for them in the UK. One of their best songs and I'm glad to see it relatively high up!

Biology is overrated

I gave the -1 for Kimberley's hair looking like a primark black and gold belt.
