I'd really, really rather not have 'Freaky Friday' actually go to #1. It is funny in conjunction with the video but that's just taking it too far beyond the joke.

Ive seen the video and don’t even find that funny? I’m honestly missing something or just don’t get it???

Would also like Freaky Friday for #1. Rudi got their week & I'm kinda over that now. Been a long, long time since we had a "fun" #1 as well.

Basically anything but the absolute screechfest that is This Is Me though is acceptable.

Team 'Freaky Friday' I suppose as it's my favourite of that top 3, a little bit meh at Chris Brown likely getting another #1 but hey at least it's not a really terrible song like his one previous chart topper... terrible people getting big hit singles just seems to be the reality of the current music scene so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ (Would ideally like George Ezra to still somehow get there but I guess that's pretty clearly not happening, please just anything other than bloody Rudimental. A bit disappointing that George is coming for just a single week #1 album but hopefully it will continue to sell well for a while rather than continuing to drop off quickly).

Nice to see The Vaccines still shifting some decent numbers in the albums as well as Rich The Kid being inside the top 40 ~

You’re right. It entered the top 40 at #39 on 27th October 2017 for just a week then re-entered the top 40 at #35 on 5th January 2018 and hasn’t left the top 40 since

But I'm pretty sure the impact date for FIS in the uk was in 2018!

Team Rudimental for me so it doesn't look like a non number 1 in the record books. A solid two weeks before Calvin takes over.

Decent album sales for Vaccines, George and TGS - top 5 will easily break 10k but suppose with the holidays that's no surprise!

And besides, This Is Me is from a film about P.T. Barnum, who did things just as bad as Chris Brown in his life, so people saying they want it to be number one over Freaky Friday is a bit hypocritical <_<
You are literally GRASPING AT STRAWS and reaching for the sake of it. Lmao.

Literally. 'The Greatest Showman' is a film based on events .... Chris Brown has actually beat women on numerous occasions. But go off, I guess.

Was it 'See You Again' the last time a song from a movie soundtrack went to #1?

Sam Smith Writings on the Wall I think

And the ironic thing is, 'This Is Me' is the song that the "freaks" sing when they've been pushed to one side by Barnum!! :') and is used as an empowering "I am who I am" anthem.

Tea. He has also homophobically abused people.

I can’t remember if Writing’s On The Wall was 2014 or 2015, but Love Me Like You Do spent 4 weeks at #1 in 2015.

Which was months before 'See You Again'.

It was Sept 2015 according to Google

I don't like Chris Brown either (pretty repulsed at the likely new #1), but all of this is true about John Lennon too and no one brings it up whenever The Beatles are mentioned.

I thought See You Again was 2014

nah it was summer 2015

that Ellie song was Feb 2015

Really hope Golden can go #1 next week, but can see TGS standing in its way. :(
