I can’t believe she never mentioned it on Graham Norton. Any promo would help the track!

I heard she did but it was probably edited out.

Opens with over 90,000 Spotify plays.

Wow 90,000 is what she usually gets per week. Just shows put her on a new music Friday list and high up.

Can we get a top 100 hit this week?

Oh sorry it that 90,000 worldwide ? Lol I was hoping UK only hahah

Yep it’s 90,000 worldwide - she’s not in the UK Spotify charts so less than 50,000 of those streams are from the UK. The NMF playlist has certainly helped but she’s definitely not going to be troubling the official Top 100... If only they had continued with their love affair of cassettes and given us a limited edition one for NYC!
Track of the week poll is up in the main chart forum and Kylie is currently in the lead by 1 vote for NYC so if you haven’t voted yet.... :P

I didnt see this doing well but thought possibly Top 100.

I had also hoped it would be an iTunes Top 10 with ease.

Not appeared on any Apple Music playlists yet but have been placed as the #1 song on the ‘Kylie Minogue Essentials’ playlist which should help it get a few extra plays.
I like this but it will be forgettable in time for me and not a patch on dancing or any of the golden singles. I do see why it was left off golden.
NYC has been added to 2 playlists on Apple Music - ‘The A List - Pop’ and ‘Best Of The Week’
I dont think it would have fitted the Aphrodite album at all, if anything it could have passed as a good song on Kiss Me Once.

Agree with this.

Actually hearing the studio version of NYC makes me a bit  at what direction the ‘Golden’ era could have taken if she hadn’t gone all country vibes on us, it could have easily been a KMO V2 and I’m sure would not have been anywhere near as successful.

I really like this song ever since she sung it live on her Golden tour, and finally glad we got a studio version, its a damn fine pop song. This is what Kylie does best pure fun pop music. It has a great frothy throwback feel to it, and yeah sure it wouldn't have fitted on 'Golden' and definitely wouldn't call the song a lost classic or anything, but its very fitting for her new Greatest Hits collection.

While Kylie's country pop sound was fantastic for one album, I am glad she's gone back to pure pop and hopefully for the next album she'll finally do that Disco album that we all want and will be up there with her all-time classics.

Just downloaded from Amazon - Have downloaded from Amazon and iTunes now plus doing my 10 streams a day on Apple and Spotify. Always infuriates me that Kylie has a fan base that gets behind her albums but don’t stream or download her singles, rant over :P
I think the fans get behind the singles but there isnt enough hard ire fans to make a bug streaming impression that will help it chart. Many of kylies fans are also not the digital era but would support phyisical singles.

I'd love for Kylie to serve us a new take on disco with influences from Studio 54 and 'Paris is Burning' :D
