July 27, 20187 yr I've liked a few of 6ix9ine's past songs (KEKE, Billy) but this one sounded awful when I heard it earlier in the week. Likewise, for my sins I have quite liked a few of his other songs ('TATI' in particular is a pretty addictive song lol) but this one is just boring more than anything else, take away the screaming gimmick and the 'licky on my blicky' and what's the point of it even being a 6ix9ine song? That's the only thing that makes his music stand out in any way. 99.99% sure R1 will just briefly acknowledge it's in the chart and then not play it anyway. (The other 0.01% is that they don't mention it at all).

July 27, 20187 yr I did take a listen to 'Fefe' out of curiosity and yeah it's just... boring and without any proper hook. His singing(?) voice is as just bad as his shouting voice. Baffling that it's set to be an instant top 40 hit really when all his previous singles either just scraped or missed the top 100. Hopefully Panic and The 1975 can chart just for the sake of some variety in the top 40, and Loud Luxury should hopefully be top 30 (good to see that actually becoming a proper hit now). Would be nice to see B Young and Rudimental make it in too, though Benny Blanco could replace one of those. Either way, quite a lot of new entries by today's standards which is great to see!

Or even better, a list of actual charts?There should be a list of number 1s from the test charts which were compiled from 26 June 2004 to 28 August 2004 posted here at BuzzJack. I can't remember if the actual test charts (a top 20 if I recall) were posted in there. Music Week published the charts but my paper copies of the magazine from back then are in my attic! But the number 1s from the test charts were: 1 26-Jun 1 Pixies - Bam Thwok 2 03-Jul 1 Maroon 5 - This Love 3 10-Jul 5 Streets - Dry Your Eyes 4 14-Aug 3 Shapeshifters - Lola's Theme The first official download number 1, on the chart dated 4 September 2004, was 'Flying Without Wings (Live)' by Westlife... July 27, 20187 yr Time to wheel out my factoid that the first ever proper commercial download music release was The Shamen's “Destination Eschaton” which was released in advance as MP3 format, before its physical release! Of course not many people had the internet back then, nevermind a connection speed that would allow you to download it particularly quickly.
