And I’m loving it

I like his vocal but it's so obviously him that hearing it on every other song that comes out is getting a bit boring :P a lot of the songs seem to merge into one.

I'm so glad danG has echoed the over-saturation :P

This new B Young single is going over my head a bit. Love Scott's comment there "not at all similar to Jumanji..."

Biography

Au/Ra

Born in Ibiza and raised in Antigua, singer/songwriter Au/Ra crafts alternative pop with electronic influences inspired by her multicultural upbringing. Influenced by artists like Lana Del Rey, Kraftwerk, the Neighbourhood, and Arctic Monkeys, the young Jamie Lou Stenzel was raised by music-loving parents (her father is a producer in the electronic/trance scene) and decided to pursue music at the age of ten. Under the name Jamie Lou, she uploaded her covers of songs by Birdy, P!nk, Shakira, Rihanna, and more. Later, she adopted the Au/Ra moniker, taking inspiration from a character in her self-penned Lord of the Rings fan fiction. Her first single, "Concrete Jungle," bore a striking resemblance to Lorde, a "Royals 2.0" for 2016. She followed with "Outsiders," an outcast anthem that interpolated Pink Floyd's "Another Brick in the Wall" into its lyrics. Her third single, "Kicks," was another big beat anthem with vocals leaning in the direction of Halsey. These three tracks would find their way onto her debut EP, Outsiders, which arrived in 2017. - iTunes

CamelPhat

Mike Di Scala and Dave Whelan are CamelPhat, a British electronic duo traversing various styles of deep house and techno. Formed in 2008, the pair put out a number of digital EPs and singles via Vice and Nervous Records before signing to Dutch EDM label Spinnin' Records in 2014. Enjoying chart success in Belgium with tracks such as "Constellations," "Paradigm," "Make 'Em Dance," and "The Act," they came to widespread prominence in 2017 with "Cola," a collaborative track produced with fellow electronic musician Elderbrook. - iTunes

a few months back this Fefe guy had a hit in the US, Gummo, peaked at #12

but thankfully did not chart in the UK

He has actually had three other songs make the UK chart in the 91-100 region already (surprisingly not including 'GUMMO' despite that being the main song he's known for). This one is just getting more attention because of the Nicki Minaj feature I guess (and it having a more commercial sound than his other stuff).

'Eastside' is a nice enough start to the show, heard it the other day. It's nothing groundbreaking and just standard Khalid fare really but I quite like it. '079ME' might as well be exactly the same song as 'Jumanji' but with different lyrics  but I did like 'Jumanji' so not complaining too much. Decent new entries so far at least even if nothing super exciting :P

I'm definitely aboard the '"Panic Room" is excellent' train now. Possibly the best dance song since "17".
Glad to see 'Panic Room' on the up again! Deserves a much better peak, hopefully it'll continue to be a slow-burning climber a la M-22 and Dennis Lloyd.
this should be top 10, best dance tracks we've had in ages

Biography

Panic! at the Disco is an American rock band from Las Vegas, Nevada, formed in 2004 by childhood friends Brendon Urie, Ryan Ross, Spencer Smith and Brent Wilson. Since 2015, vocalist Urie is the only official member in the band, supported on tours by guitarist Kenneth Harris, drummer Dan Pawlovich, and bassist Nicole Row. Panic! at the Disco recorded its first demos while its members were in high school. Shortly after, the band recorded and released its debut studio album, A Fever You Can't Sweat Out (2005). Popularized by the second single, "I Write Sins Not Tragedies," the album was certified double platinum in the US. In 2006, founding bassist Brent Wilson was fired from the band during an extensive world tour and subsequently replaced by Jon Walker.

Influenced by 1960s rock bands the Beatles, the Zombies and the Beach Boys, and preceded by the single "Nine in the Afternoon," the band's second studio album, Pretty. Odd. (2008) marked a significant departure from the sound of the band's debut. Ross and Walker, who favored the band's new direction, departed because Urie and Smith wanted to make further changes to the band's style. The duo subsequently formed a new band, The Young Veins, leaving Urie and Smith as the sole remaining members of Panic! at the Disco.

Continuing as a duo, Urie and Smith released a new single, "New Perspective," and recruited bassist Dallon Weekes and guitarist Ian Crawford as touring musicians for live performances. Weekes was later inducted into the band's lineup as a full-time member in 2010. The band's third studio album, Vices & Virtues (2011), was recorded solely by Urie and Smith in 2010, produced by John Feldmann and Butch Walker.

As a three-piece, Urie, Smith, and Weekes recorded and released the band's fourth studio album, Too Weird to Live, Too Rare to Die!, in 2013. Prior to the release of the album, Smith unofficially left the band due to health and drug-related issues, leaving Urie and Weekes as the remaining members. The duo recruited guitarist Kenneth Harris and drummer Dan Pawlovich as touring musicians for live performances.

In 2015, Smith officially left the band after not performing live with the band since his departure in 2013. Shortly thereafter, Weekes reverted to being a touring member once again, leaving Urie as the only member of the official lineup. In April 2015, "Hallelujah" was released as the first single from Panic! at the Disco's fifth studio album, Death of a Bachelor (2016). In December 2017, Weekes officially announced his departure from the band. Preceded by lead single "Say Amen (Saturday Night)," the band's sixth studio album, Pray for the Wicked, was released on June 22, 2018. - iTunes

Im not listening yet but bring on High Hopes

Your wish has come true - #37!

Excellent stuff :D #3 in my chart at the moment, having risen every week since I charted it  I think it's quite comfortably my favourite from them. They're a band I've always *quite* liked but not sure I've ever loved a song of theirs until now. They're a bit theatrical for my overall liking. The new album is very good, mind you.
