This must be one of the least interesting chart weeks since I started following the charts. Really nothing I care about at all happening in either chart.

but if we're lucky, we may get 2 new entries in the top 40!!1!1!!1

Fredo and friends are just outside with 'Ay Caramba'. Not that most of Buzzjack will care if it makes it or not, but it's a decent enough song.

Also it seems that 'Dancing Queen' will be able to chart alongside the three other sequel tracks, it isn't being starred out yet others are. OCC must be counting it as the version from the original but combining it with the sequel version.

What the hell! It better not have been removed! It's the most downloaded song.

but as we all know the power of streaming is greater than that of downloads in 2018. Fernando just isn't doing well enough on streaming for it to be in the album's top three.
Andante Andante wasn't even in the top 100 on Monday so there's no way it has risen 35+ places in 1 day! Dancing Queen needs to be removed. Fernando is doing well in downloads and has improved in streaming so it should be charting. The OCC has completely messed up.

What does starred out mean? Removed or it's there in the chart but there's stars to say it won't feature?

Because it didn't :P It was starred out on Monday and now it is not.

It is rather silly that Dancing Queen is allowed to chart, but that's the OCC for you. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Starred out = has enough sales to be in the chart but is removed due to the artist/album cap rules.

Presumably it was just behind 'Fernando' and starred out in the first update, and it's now overtaken it to be one of the top 3 tracks from the album so it's now eligible.

It doesn't matter how well 'Fernando' is doing on downloads or how much it's 'improved' in streaming, the rule is 3 songs per artist and for whatever reason soundtracks like this are treated as if all their songs are by the same artist so it's only the top 3 songs that are eligible, and 'Fernando' has slipped out of that top 3. 'Dancing Queen' is a different case because it seems to be getting combined with the version from the first film and treated as a song from that soundtrack, which would have its own 3 track limit.

Fernando is only the 8th most streamed track of the soundtrack, it's marginally the most donwloaded track but that means it's doing 20 copies more than the other tracks per day, which accounts for nothing when streams are added, so should not be charting if it's not top 3 overall

but agree they have to remove Dancing queen, makes no sense, as people are streaming it from mamma mia 2 not 1

If Fernando enters Cher will have a record of the longest span of hits for a female. They should have pushed the song more in the commercials. I'm hoping it sells more than Andante Andante and enters!

I think it has entered the top 100 though, hasn't it?

Yeah the top 100 but the top 75 is what actually counts.

I'd argue the top 75 is a more arbitrary cut-off these days than it used to be, it's only really Alan Jones' sales reports and Polyhex that refer to a top 75. The OCC always use top 100s now!

My god you can tell it’s a quiet chart week when everyone is getting hysterical at the possibility of Dancing Queen entering at #98 :drama: Could understand if it charting would be preventing a #1 or something but I think the overreaction is a bit much for a song likely to literally cling onto scraping the Top 100 if it’s lucky

It’s the right decision as the Mamma Mia 1 soundtrack is selling well still and I’m sure DQ is being streamed a lot from both albums.

Pleased to see All Saints holding on at #13 - was expecting them to be around #18 today.

All Saints holding up slightly better today, i expected a further fall in today's update.

I would greatly welcome 5 Seconds of Summer reaching the Top 3 and they are very close.
