Top 45: When I Kissed The Teacher

Top 50: Why Did It Have To Be Me

Top 65: Andante, Andante

Top 90: Dancing Queen

The OCC have now starred out Dancing Queen so that crisis is averted. The other 3 still stand.

Can you actually see it starred out then? Can you see what number Fernando is if it charted?

Yes we can.

Fernando would be in the top 75 if there was no artist/album cap. Also worth noting that it is very much possible that 'Mamma Mia' could overtake 'Andante, Andante' by tomorrow to be the third chart eligible song especially as it is ahead on Spotify.

But with the Amazon sales missing, Fernando could possibly overtake Andante Andante. I've got my fingers crossed! Either way, the OCC need to change it to 5 as 3 is just ridiculous.

5? You crazy? 3 is already too much

what they should do is distingish properly album vs single streams

I actually like album streams being included, the mini-album takeovers feel quite refreshing especially when acts that otherwise would never get a Top 40 single make it, even if it is a little less accurate.
How is 5 too many? 3 songs from 1 album at one time is ridiculous. Maybe have a limit of 5 for soundtracks with several artists and for standard artists 3.

People are listening to songs for free and it is being classed as a sale, the ratio for downloads/paid music over streaming/youtube should be a lot higher.

5 would be silly as every time a big artist that drops an album they'll take up half the singles chart top 10.

In my opinion they should create a rule where all Cher songs have their sales multiplied by 10, and your problem is solved without messing with anything else :magic:
Capping how many songs from a single artist can debut in a single week (which I think New Zealand does?) would work to stop insta-takeovers from the likes of Drake, Ed Sheeran, etc. etc. Since 9 times out of 10 most album tracks drop significantly in the second week so the songs that are popular would still do well on the chart but the ones that rake in the big streams just from being short interludes or the first track on an album wouldn't get what are essentially artificial chart positions

Yeah but maybe 3 for artists and 5 for soundtracks. Or make the ratio for paid music over streaming higher.

Exactly lol! No but it's the same for all older artists as their fans don't stream, paid music should have a higher ratio over free music.

Ed Sheeran would just make his next album a soundtrack for a short film or something.
