I am voting out Kiss Me Once for the reasons i have given before.

It falls down against Kylie Christmas as i didnt expected anything wow from the Kylie Christmas album.

My expectations for the Christmas album were low and it turned out better than i expected.

Kiss Me Once i had higher expectations for and it totally fell below my expectations and easily gets my vote for Kylie's weakest album to date.

Its not an awful album, but it is highly disappointing.

They both have a lot of decent tracks on them. Kiss Me Once is a lot less cohesive on the whole, but there’s a lot less that I actually go back to on Christmas, so voted that.

Kylie should have released the live version of the Christmas album from the Royal Albert Hall to the re-issue of the album as she really brought energy to the songs at that show.

Kiss Me Once Kylie hasnt performed the tracks all that much so it was harder to connect with the album when there was a sense Kylie didnt believe in the album herself.

Kylie seemed to have got more behind the Christmas album than she did with Kiss Me Once.

Definitely Kiss me once. Kylie Christmas had some good tracks but kiss me once was pretty poor.

Kylie Christmas took quick early lead but the votes are creeping in now for Kiss Me Once.
Pleased that Kylie Christmas is way in the lead - not that I hate it but KMO is such a good album :music:

I voted Kylie Christmas.

There's lots of great tracks on there, namely a fair few of the original tracks (shout out to the underrated 'Christmas Isn't Christmas 'Til You Get Here'!) and the likes of '2000 Miles' and 'Christmas Lights' that have lots of Christmas warmth to them. Like Calum said though, there's a lot I don't return to outside of listening to the album. Some songs are just a bit THERE and then there's songs that don't quite suit.

Kiss Me Once was very misguided by having its most weak/filler/vapid songs near the start and demoting its most interesting songs to bonus tracks (or worse, totally leaving them off the album), but the string of 'Feels So Good' to 'Kiss Me Once' is very good, as is the lead single 'Into the Blue'. The songs chosen to represent the album and the whole vibe surrounding the era play a big part on how the album is perceived, although it is still down there as one of her least good.

I agree with pippa about the expectations thing - they were definitely higher for Kiss Me Once which is why it was so disappointing whereas I was always going to take a Christmas album for what it was. However, I'm choosing Kylie Christmas over Kiss Me Once for this tie-breaker because of the ratio of songs I listen to to those I don't for each album.

I totally agree about the different expectations from both albums which does play a part.Into the blue while I like it now I did find it disappointing for a long time after hearing it and it set the mood for the album. Les Sex I do really like and crystalize although not on the album is great song but everything else I havnt clicked with.Kylie Christmas is exactly what it says on the tin and I was really surprised how well it sold although disappointed it missed the top 10.It's one of few times a kylie album has a higher peak here in Ireland than the uk.

I think everyone breathed a sigh of relief when 'Crystallize' was released, knowing Kylie was still capable of that glittery pop that we love from her (very much in a similar vein to 'I Believe in You' and 'The One' I thought). An album with that, the Sleepwalker EP songs and 'Sleeping with the Enemy' on the standard tracking list would have made a much better album for me.

I've got to say, 'Beautiful' would have been so much better as a solo, non-vocodered song. Not that it would instantly become a favourite because of it, but when I watch her performance at the Commonwealth Games, just her on the stage in a lovely white dress, I can see it could have been so much more:

Crystalize did have the I believe in you and the one type of vibe. It's a shame it wasn't a big hit as it deserved to be.
Voted for Kylie Christmas for the tie-breaker, even though I voted for 'Play Me Once' in the other poll (was actually meant to vote for 'KC', but saw the other one and completely missed it). Both albums aren't very good and bogged down by way too many bad moments, but each does have some decent moments.

'Kiss Me Once'
HIGHLIGHTS = 'Into The Blue', 'Sexy Love', 'Les Sex', ''If Only' & 'Sleeping With The Enemy'
LOW POINTS = Everything else.

'Kylie Christmas'
HIGHTLIGHTS = 'Every Day's Like Christmas', 'Santa Baby', '100 Degrees', 'Christmas Isn't Christmas 'Til You Get Here'
LOW POINTS = Need I repeat myself.

Not the title track, Feels So Good and Fine being considered bad moments / low points... :drama: I’ll defend those songs forever. x

Voted for Kylie Christmas.

I wish she'd bring out a Christmas album every Christmas !

Kiss Me Once has to go !!

*casts spell so that anyone voting for Kylie Christmas shall get nothing for Christmas*
