Was 100 on Monday and will probably drop rapidly during the week as in no sales etc.

 

Shame it's in for at least a 50 place drop id have loved it to stay top 100 so she would be on the first chart of 2019 but least she will appear on the singles chart.

I had feared the album would get lost this week and it seems its what has happened.

Golden has dropped out of the T100 this week according to Say Hey. Don’t know the exact position!

Its disappointing but not a surprise

It’s at 93 (down from 44) on the sales only album chart...so at least it still sold something reasonable.

I definitely think the £5 cassettes got added into the previous weeks total as they shipped them early. But as has been said before I don’t care if Golden never troubles the charts again - it’s exceeded all expectations tbh.

Good to see Golden back up to 109th on iTunes today. Was down in the 400 hundreds so collected a few more sales.

 

Kylie Minogue Reel Stories on BBC at 6.15pm today. Pity it's only 25 mins long and not on BBC1

Hopefully its a small sign that physical sales may be up to but i really dont see it back in the charts this week.

No definitely won't be back in charts , probably ever until Glastonbury maybe.

Would have been nice if they’d highlighted the savings on her official site and it had joined the HMV sale but as I’ve said before rather fitting its exited the charts at the end of 2018 after an epic year so not bothered if it never troubles the charts again (Although I have a feeling it will benefit from Glastonbury).

I’ve heard nothing official about a greatest hits yet and it feels a strange time to release another hits set after just one album with a new label. Surely it would be better to focus on kylie establishing herself with her new label and releasing more mature music than another hits collection which probably won’t offer anything new!

^^ This, I know other acts have benefitted from a GH being released around Glastonbury but not sure a huge demand is there for essentially a dead concept now that streaming playlists can easily be created.

 

Even with a few bonuses a new GH would offer us nothing we haven’t already had with Greatest Hits, Hits +, Greatest Hits 87-92, Ultimate Kylie & The Best Of!

There's no Kylie GH that are currently physically produced though. May as well release a new definitive one to capitalise on the summer shows.

I'd love a new greatest hits and for them to really cover all the eras, I still think it could do well for her even though greatest hits releases are in decline.

If this GH wants to do anything that troubles the chart, it needs to be comprehensive and include a couple of new songs.

There is no way NO WAY we will not get a either a release in time for Glastonbury or before.... It would be suicidal for a record company and artist not to capitalise... So new era or new greatest hits ?

Yep I’m not here for another recycled GH tbh - they need to go all out if they are going to bother doing one.
