Just having had a listen, Its much better than Reputation, even though I did like the remix of Delicate. It's also surprised me how much better it is, the two lead singles I thought were awful. I agree this should have been the album that followed 1989, which is still one of the finest pop albums ever made.

 

As many have said, they really picked the worst singles from this album. I Forgot You Existed should have been the lead, followed by Cruel Summer, imho haha. Also like Death By Thousand Cuts and Afterglow but Lover is my favourite.

Miss American is incredible! Potential top 5 Taylor song ever for me already.

But she's looking at a 30k week if it follows the same pattern as Reputation which is low-key dreadful :( hopefully this should hold up better this week and will at least have streaming numbers (which Rep had none of) so hopefully it can do 45-50k

Yeah thats why I'm hoping this'll have better weekday holds haha + the streaming boost will send this over 40k. For me ngl, anything under 40k for the week is pretty disappointing ahh

It still has 6 days to go, obviously won't be selling 16k every day but I'd be very shocked to see it under 40k, especially as she has Spotify this time round!

Apart from ransom at 8, she has the entire top 14 in America + the whole album is too 23 there. Lover/The Man/Cruel Summer top 3

So she’s gonna get an extra two top 40’s this week as it’s unlikely YNTCD will re enter due to it being on ACR.

 

Lover should easily climb this week. I can see The Man entering and maybe Cruel Summer. I think I Forgot You Existed being track 1 has perhaps helped that out a lot but I think something else will overtake it.

 

Those first days sales aren’t too bad either. I’m thinking this will perhaps drop less next week in sales she has promo next week too which will help her in the UK.

 

Going by her Spotify performance (and Apple as she’s doing good there) she should hopefully pick up some good streaming sales too.
