Exactly half of my DNQs (3/6) have been 24th place, interesting! Thanks to everyone who chucked some points my way, especially Rich and Bray with those medals <3

Oh poor poor Singerpurear and Trifoski :( both of those last placers were/would've been in my points </3

Thanks ducky for a highly entertaining evening and Bray for scoreboards!

O MY GOD I FINALLY DID IT

all i needed to do was send an undeniable 5 star classic to get in the voters' bad books

now where's my recipe book

What a show that was to read through. Excellent work Ducky, somehow.

Bit of a shame to end my streak so soon at the start of the year and Boyish deserved better (and I'm quite pleased it went some way to defying its heartless predictions and came very close... and was qualified in... whatever this freak show is... for a while) but in a way I'm relieved I don't have the weight of that now hanging over me, it's time to take some big risks again. And as expected losing things like Infinite, Ska-P and kwasa is not good.

Just realised I lost five of my would be votes from Semi 2 :( Ramrynia would have been my 12 there! Thought Ojnoj would be safe too!

And the Daehun song was a positive surprise, really sounds like a lost Alcazar song *.*

I know right! Male Asian pop is something I've been trying to delve into for a while, but I've rarely found one that's been structured so eccentrically or uses such a clear pop backing as the instrumental. Instant fave.

Ojnoj's entry was actually surprisingly good this time, a little surprised that it didn't do well enough to survive the deduction. Hendinia is a little more niche so that makes more sense. Rob was at the plug session tho so oops if he actually forgot to vote xx

I didn't even notice Trifoski had got the wooden spoon they craved for so long *.* wd

Qualification streak update (underlined countries have matched or extended their longest ever Q streak):

* more consecutive entries (6 for Thelonia, 4 for Pupok, 3 for #00274E) have qualified but these streaks were broken by breaks from the contest

Aeroche and Cor Lupus both qualify again yada yada. 25 qualifiers in a row from each sees them now beat Qärenfanghoney/Kopečka's best run of 24 in a row, the next target being Quotosibb's 27 in a row (the fourth longest streak ever). St. Burbia remain the closest competition to the two leaders, extending their national record to 12 consecutive finals, and while we lose Séyetana's double digit streak we do gain two new ones as FARC extend their national record to 10 in a row while Unovia also get to 10 again (their best run to date is 14). Cadelicia make it to 9 in a row for the first time, now surpassing their record that they matched last contest. Tartford's run falls but the other bunch who were on record runs of 4 in a row all make it to 5 - Florina, Holland-Oats, Jupiterdonia and Thelonia all further extending their existing national record runs (with the latter getting to 6 in a row ignoring contest breaks). There aren't any other countries matching or beating their old records apart from technically Alteria as they pick up their fourth qualifier and have still yet to qualify to two consecutive finals (though they did qualify with two entries in a row in BJSCs 94 & 96).

RIP

I'm never going that high again (now I've got my double digit mini-goal). I don't know how Leww & Cody can keep up with it. Too high a streak and the crisis of decision just gets worse and worse for me.

So glad Buzzjack Mountain made it to the final, thanks to everyone who voted for it!

Yeah the Daehun entry I enjoyed, quite 90s pop sounding!

Oslol's hosting has been amazing so far!

Edited by The Snake

Yaaas, qualified and only lost my 2 pointer - very good semi as well so I'll probably have a hard time voting in the final if anything grows and with S2 mixed in too!!

yassss come through

oslol being a flop host though, I called it from the very start *.* the crashiest car crash I've ever seen and I've seen a lot of bjsc result reveals. whoda thunk it's this difficult to take Top 18 out of an already compiled list and randomise it~
