That was a big hit but not mahoosive

It was undoubtedly massive. Let's not be fooled by it's modest peak, it was 1 of only about 5 songs I think to spend 12+ weeks in the top 10 last year.

Girls Like You spent enough weeks in the Top 10 to stop being soul-destroyingly boring and start being somewhat amusing. And that's saying something.

Only 'This Is Me' and 'Shotgun' spent more weeks top 10!

The "top 5 most weeks in the top 10" thing is a bit harder to use these days seeing as without ACR that stat would be completely different, but it did well to avoid ACR for all that time. And it was undoubtedly massive, number 1 in the US, and I think Australia too.

the effect was really tiny, they went from 0.03 to 0.05,

the effect of the Super Bowl was 30 people buying the song :o

 

 

The Super Bowl effect has never been that big over here as far as I can remember? And this seems like one of the least hyped half-time shows in a while.
