This is a massive stretch. 600k+ and a massive factor in how well Get Weird sold over Q4 2015. Successful.

I was thinking why has it taken so long for everyone to mention Carly Rae with Call Me Maybe & This Kiss, but just saw Good Time was released like a week before. Ugh. Lmao.
The original post says "follow ups that failed to reach the top 10" tbf
Doop followed up Doop with Huckleberry Jam that got to #95

And on the subject of eponymous number ones, Mr Blobby followed up Mr Blobby with Christmas In Blobbyland which reached #36.

here's some in the past five years that haven't been mentioned (hard to say for some of them what counts as the official follow-up as they never received any kind of push but they've been put here anyway)

Dave: 'Funky Friday' -> 'Black' (#40)

Mike Posner: 'I Took A Pill In Ibiza' -> 'Be As You Are' (DNC) [and he hasn't charted ever since except for a feature on a #97 Nick Jonas single]

NHS Choir: 'A Bridge Over You' -> 'With A Little Help From My Friends' (#89) [credited to NHS Voices feat. NHS Choir]

Rachel Platten: 'Fight Song' -> 'Stand By You' (DNC) [1HW]

David Zowie: 'House Every Weekend' -> 'The Real Don' (DNC) [1HW]

Cheryl: 'I Don't Care' -> 'Only Human' (#70) [though that was as a promo single, when it actually got a single push it didn't return to the chart]

Rixton: 'Me and My Broken Heart' -> 'Wait On Me' (#12) [and it was a very short lived hit]

will.I.am: 'It's My Birthday' -> 'Boys and Girls' (#21)

MAGIC!: 'Rude' -> 'Don't Kill the Magic' (DNC) [1HW]

Mr. Probz: 'Waves' -> 'Nothing Really Matters' (#72)

DVBBS & Borgeous: 'Tsunami' -> 'Stampede' (DNC) [DVBBS later charted at #49 as part of the lineup for 'Gold Skies', Borgeous never had a second 'hit']

Route 94: 'My Love' -> 'Misunderstood' (DNC) [1HW, but he did however remix MK's 'Always' which got it to #12]

The Beautiful South - My Book (#43)

Shakira - Illegal (#34)

Stiltskin - Footsteps (#34)

White Town - Undressed (#57)

Roger Sanchez - You Can't Change Me (#25)
