June 5, 20196 yr Bruises has vanished but Grace hasn't re-appeared... confusing edit: #17 was missing in the update, that must be Bruises x Looking at yesterdays update, Bruises must be #17
June 5, 20196 yr There must have been leftover copies floating around in shops. I guess it only got as high as No.3 because of the novelty of it being deleted after the first week on sale, but it's not like every single copy issued across the entire country would have gone in the first week, hence the extra two weeks. It's a good song but I always preferred Pounding, which is a really great track, and actually felt like a bigger hit somehow, maybe because it was on Now 52! I certainly remember seeing it on TV more. Plus they released it in the same week as Oasis which certainly helped :P If a top 10 of non movers becomes a regular occurrence I still wonder if there will more rule changes, they've got to keep it interesting as well as relevant
June 5, 20196 yr They’ve already introduced ACR to prevent this sort of thing happening more often so I’m not sure what else they can do. This is the first time to my knowledge that the entire top ten have been non movers anyhow (excluding frozen post-Christmas charts from the old days) so it’s not at all a regular occurrence.
June 5, 20196 yr Yeah ACR has done a somewhat decent job with respect to this but of course one of the downsides is that you'll get weeks and weeks of the same songs in the top 10 and then a mass clearout all at once.
June 6, 20196 yr Susan Boyle could end up number 5 now. I expected her to be on far higher sales as in around double what she actually has.
June 6, 20196 yr Ed is releasing an album? That doesn't come out until July 12. But I don't think Madonna will be #1 anyway.
June 6, 20196 yr ^^Yes but people shouldn't wonder why it's not selling better then :P Edited June 6, 20196 yr by SKOB
June 6, 20196 yr Why would anyone BUY another cover album by Susan Boyle in 2019? There was a bit of hype around this one, being the 10th anniversary of her first BGT performance being commemorated and also her performing on the show itself too.
June 6, 20196 yr There was a bit of hype around this one, being the 10th anniversary of her first BGT performance being commemorated and also her performing on the show itself too. It was a dreadful performance, that won't have helped.
June 6, 20196 yr Do you know how far Katy is off the top 10? I know it's not gonna happen but let a boy dream x
June 6, 20196 yr We don’t have such info for yesterday’s update, if we’re lucky we may get something later today.
June 6, 20196 yr It was a dreadful performance, that won't have helped. Which dreadful performance are you referring to? Madonna on Eurovision?
June 6, 20196 yr but it's a Greatest Hits, isn't it?Sort of. I don't know if all the tracks have previously been recorded by her but the ones I recognise as songs she has recorded in the past are all re-recordings.
June 6, 20196 yr Which dreadful performance are you referring to? Madonna on Eurovision? Susan boyle, but tbf susan wasnt that bad it was more michael ball that made the performance bad
