Hello all and welcome to, quite simply, the biggest undertaking this forum (or perhaps any artist forum on this site) has ever done.

 

Over the course of the next few months, we will be conducting the Ultimate Madonna Rate. "But we've done this before!!1" you might say... not like this :o In the past we have held 80s singles rates, rates for all of her singles across the years but never have we rated every single song that Madonna has released.. until now!

 

In order to make this mammoth task feasible, we have decided to separate her huge, decade-spanning career into sections, continuing here with the 90s. Below is every song released by Madonna in the 90s. Rate them. One 11, one -1. Simple ~

 

We will then do the same for other eras of Madonna's career, before eventually presenting every single song as rated by you.

I had to listen to three songs as I hadn’t heard them.

 

God Ray of Light was like a whole album of tens lol but my 11 goes to Frozen :wub:

I'll make another Spotify playlist when I get home! ^_^

Same, I think 12 minutes is a bit lengthy. I'd also like a bit less dub and a bit more of the original Goodbye to Innocence demo, then it would be perfect.

I'm Breathless was largely a chore to sit through; I'm going to be pretty brutal with my scores for that I think! The only motivation is knowing 'Vogue' is on the end.

Oh I’m really fond of the second half of I’m Breathless - possibly for nostalgic reasons though as it was my first Madonna record.

It starts off fine (I actually rather like 'Hanky Panky') but after that it varies from okay to awful.

 

I think Evita would be the only album I'd avoid more, but that's more due to the songs just not being for me rather than bad.

Will need to familiarise myself with some of the non-studio albums but gosh what a decade!
