July 18, 20196 yr Not surprising, Ed has a huge fanbase and past glories plus an album full of popular artists. I was expecting the album to be a behemoth in terms of sales. The album being full of other artists is probably a hindering factor though
July 18, 20196 yr The album being full of other artists is probably a hindering factor though  I think so too, for many of the featured artists, a large percentage of Ed Sheerans fans would not be fans.

July 18, 20196 yr Where is Shallow please? Top 50! Do we know how far Sigala x Becky are from the no5? Over 4,000 sales away. To put that into perspective, they're closer to #12 than they are to #5.
July 18, 20196 yr I think it's physical / paid for sales that Mint Royale was referring to although he could have been a bit more clearer. I'm sure he probably knew that with streaming sales that Ed would outsell Lewis. I asked him about that (on Sunday) and he said: Yes, but Capaldi had 50% more sales at the same stage, so you’d expect the streams to be in a similar proportion when hey come in. Obviously Sheeran will do better worldwide, but in the UK Capaldi is maybe now the premier troubadour https://twitter.com/MintRoyale/status/1149998754348621824 Edited July 18, 20196 yr by The Hit Parade
