I don't think they ever stuck to that rule - wasn't 'Swish Swish' reset too despite still being Top 100?

Yeah, Swish Swish was reset when it was finally pushed as a single.

Yes swish swish was also reset while being top 100

Same for close to me i think

Nice to see Yesterday OST on the up again. Madonna holding out very well indeed it has to be said too!
Jack Savoretti at #42 on the album chart - will be interesting to see the impact the Amazon Prime deal has on the chart position as it’s moved from around 1,790+ on their chart to Top 20!
Didn't Location rise over 25% thanks to the music video?

Nope, the music video's only just come out. It actually decreased last week

Seems like the label applied for a reset knowing the video was coming

Madonna’s Madame X vinyl and box set are today’s Amazon Prime deal - should get a boost.
Really happy with how kylie is holding up so far. If it could have a chart run like golden or greater would be brill.

Maybe the OCC / Chart Supervisory Committee decided that it was impractical to insist on the "outside the top 100" requirement. Though in which case the chart rule should be amended to reflect this.
he should have waited before releasing the album, he released too many singles and videos at the same time... Cross me should’ve been a much bigger hit, and also Beautiful People and South of the Border... he should’ve promoted each single properly , same mistake was done by Madonna for her Madame X campaign, too many singles too soon which lead to the album not succeeding as predicted...
You are mixing grats and singles

what grats, he released a music video for each and every one of the 6 songs he released...

That doesn't mean it's a single though?

(For clarification I'm not saying they weren't all singles, I'm only saying that just because it has a music video doesn't make it a single, see Bieber's Purpose album :D)

U still get to hear half the album before its released though - no matter what you want to call them!?!

But Ed literally pushed two singles at the same time for Divide and they were both massive  Plus Galway Girl immediately after that and it did well too. Ed doesn't need all these separate single campaigns before an album release, people may have lost interest if he dragged it on any longer.

I also highly suspect Ed doesn't care that his first-week sales are so much lower than Divide, considering the album market has tanked AND he's still got #1 with a huge lead for what is effectively a side project.
