Posted July 21, 20196 yr Following on from Madame X, Madonna's 14th album, what would you rather she gave us for her next era: a new Greatest Hits album celebrating hits across the decades, or a brand new album to mark her 15th studio album? Vote in the poll and discuss below!
July 21, 20196 yr 'Madame X' has some excellent moments on it, so I'd be excited for another studio album from her. However, I have been revisiting her back catalogue in full this week so that's got me in a greatest hits mood as she has so many incredible singles. I've been loving the new Kylie greatest hits as well so that has added to this want of an updated one for Madge too! So I have chosen 'greatest hits' in the poll.

July 21, 20196 yr As a fan I would want a new album! I hope she doesn’t take another 4 years with this one because I want as much new music as possible while she still can :( However she would probably have much more success with a properly promoted and multiple format GH :P But it’s not like she’d had any hits since Celebration so on the other hand would that even be worth it? Maybe for the big Greatest Hits tour people have been asking for for years while she’s still capable of such a big production. And we know that goes against everything Madonna stands for!
July 22, 20196 yr I’d like a Greatest Hits by her that somehow managed to use all the correct versions - i.e. radio edits/video versions where applicable. Celebration was slightly messy in that respect, including some Immaculate Collection versions and even some edits created specifically for Celebration. Would be good to have a collection with better artwork too. The different hair/face photoshop job for Celebration isn’t great. I feel like a GH at some stage of the 2020s would potentially be well received, and enough time since Celebration!

I think they would need to make it more of an expansive collection than just the singles. It doesn't make sense at all otherwise. I don't really see the point in it — maybe if they wanted to follow the Kylie route with a Glastonbury or Coachella headlining set, etc. But a studio album would be better. July 22, 20196 yr Author I've voted for a new studio album! I want as much new music as possible (because 14 full albums are not enough clearly :kink:). A Greatest Hits that is full and comprehensive would be amazing, especially to tie in with Glastonbury, but right now, I feel like M is feeling very creative and experimental and I want her to capitalise on that. A greatest hits can wait until after 15th studio album!
July 23, 20196 yr A new studio album. Greatest Hits type albums don’t interest me very much as I already have the bulk of the material on there already. Plus Celebration is still fairly new so there’s not much demand for one of those.
