Interesting article about Now 105 and the future of the series here:

https://www.musicweek.com/labels/read/now-s...on-brand/079799

Looks like Now 106 is more likely in August now. Also interesting stuff on licensing issues with some artists, and the recent switch to put older acts on Disc 2.

Interesting that they talk about Steps as being on Disc 2 of Now 105 when of course they are not. I wonder if they were supposed to be on the original version, before covid19 put a halt to both Steps new material and Now 105

Very true. Initially I thought that was a mistake but it makes sense that Steps would have been on there with a new single. Hopefully it bodes well for them to make it when they do release it, after Scared of the Dark was never featured.

I don’t really see the point of Now continuing if they ever lose the physical. Like it says, people can pretty much make their own playlists for everything now. I hope they still put out CDs for a while for oldies like me.
NOW 40 in 1998 was the last NOW to get an August release. I just hope that they stick with their usual July release for NOW 106

Why though? What difference does it really make? He said ‘Early August’ it’s a week or two after the usual release date and it makes sense with a late Now 105 and the fact that the charts are pretty slow these days. I actually expected them to scrap the Summer Now and just wait until November but I’m glad we can get one in August.

The first Friday in August is the 7th so it would make sense to release it then if they were to go with an August release for this years summer edition. They could easily fill 106 with songs which should’ve been on 105

NOW 100 Hits Summer due for release on 26th June. I just hope that it’s a mixture of old and new songs and that they include at least one song which will be on NOW 106

Quite like my version. They chose the same disc openers as me though I finished mine long before they announced their tracklisting. Seems strange Born To Love wasn't pushed properly, sounded like a hit to me! Now it feels like I put a fecking b-side in.

Nice cover and not a bad release date either. I hope Jack Garratt gets a slot on there.

I don’t know why nobody ever posts the artwork in the thread when they announce it, so here it is. The first underwater cover? :o

Considering Now 105 was released May 8th that is just over 2 months to scrap together 40+ tracks to fill the album, I think it will be tough to find that many hits, especially as the majority of hits in this time have all been urban which the compilation series tends to shy away from. Perhaps they will revert back to a throwback of hits from the past, Now 6 would be the next one to come. I’ll have a go at making a tracklisting a bit later.
