August 26, 20196 yr Bit late for the Higher love video Yesterday Higher love did like 160k less than Ed on Spotify, so no chance sadly :/ Edited August 26, 20196 yr by Bjork
August 26, 20196 yr Ed bloody Sheeran has to ruin everything doesn’t he. Not Kygo coming to peak at number two :drama: although I’m pleasantly surprised he’s got this high.
August 26, 20196 yr At least it won't be Beautiful People again. Though without seeing the sales, I'd say an Ed 1-2 with Higher Love at #3 is still possible...
August 26, 20196 yr OMG Whitney is gonna rule the charts again!!!finally uk charts are interesting again THIS!! I called a below 40k, 25-35k opening for Taylor, bug that option wasn't even on the polls

Considering Higher Love is now only 20k behind Beautiful People on Spotify with a considerable iTunes lead and being #1 on Apple Music, I'd be surprised if it didn't stay at #2.
August 26, 20196 yr I hope "Higher Love" can somehow manage to get to #1 with the release of the music video. I assume it'll have a few more oppotunities over the next few weeks to get to #1 if it doesn't get there this week?
August 26, 20196 yr Second time Ed has denied a late pop legend a glorious posthumous chart-topper. I don't actually the mind this song compared to his other singles but he has reached peak smugness in the video. He needs a long break, but obviously won't have one as terrified of people moving on from him. Capaldi was properly on the cusp of stealing his thunder prior to him remembering his hip-hop roots or something. Edited August 26, 20196 yr by Hiyaluv

I bet we get more #1s by him by extra features on top of the already existing features through the year too  I wouldn’t have minded so much had it been a solo song (like I didn’t so much mind the perfect remixes) but adding more features on a collaboration just shows you hes just wanting more accolades. He seen Ariana getting 3 #1s in a short pace of time so he has to go and do the same. Hopefully his next solo album will come in 2021 at the earliest. I actually used to like Ed and I do musically but it’s his personality what I find off putting. Everyone seems to think he’s so down to earth and normal but I think he’s got the biggest ego in music. August 26, 20196 yr Yep, looking like a total megalomaniac at this point. I was looking forward to his bubble bursting before but now I'm really looking forward to it since the "half a billi" line. And he has the most awful legacy already considering the sheer number of dressed-down balladeering 'ordinary' heartbroken young men dominating the pop scene.
August 26, 20196 yr Dont a lot of artists release pointless remixes these days that just dont seem to take off and have much effect (YNTCD clean bandit remixes by taylor swift, bounce back little mix had a dozen off the top of my head) so why is Ed suddenly satan reincarnated ;) because his are being effective, didnt OTR get a few weeks dye to the billy ray cyrus version being released? Or is that fair game because Lil nash hasnt been around as long
August 26, 20196 yr 3 Nights and Ritual are both 59p. Does Dominic Fike have a shot at No1 or are we resigned to a month of Take Me Back to London at the summit?

He’s releasing two new songs at the end of the year just to make your day. Edited August 26, 20196 yr by darrens94

Like I didn’t mind it in OTR case or even Ed’s Perfect as the album version of that song and the first version to chart was just a solo version as was the Little Mix and Taylor tracks you mentioned.
August 26, 20196 yr People just don't like Ed on here because they sit in certain artists forums begging for their fave to be as savvy as he is but they aren't, they don't sell anywhere near what Ed does and you can feel the bitterness ooze out. Ed is smart and talented.
August 27, 20196 yr Yes agree ed’s label are very smart A bit like Westlife used to be Talented? Sure but as a money-maker machine Nothing to do with good songwriting or real music
