Why 'Sun Quan the Emperor'?

I've had my song lined-up as a UP potential for a while, I thought it would suit UP rather than BJSC more. I was really impressed by the musicianship when I saw the video, amazing skills, and I've always loved the sounds of various genres of Asian music from my childhood days living in Singapore. I never set out to win, but I like putting out interesting entries to see what the reaction is to them. I hope not to get to the stage where people can predict what my entry is going to sound like, and I deliberately vary the genres and styles and ages of my entries

That crossed my mind when I saw the song list for the first time. Your 'Versailles' was OK but not as good as the White Soxx 'Versailles'.

Ooh that one stood out for miles! Such gorgeous instrumentation. popchartfreak totally makes sense as the person behind it!

I'd have been assuming 'Sun Quan The Emperor' was a Chez Wombat pick if he was actually in this contest! Reminded me a lot of his BJSC entry 'Koto' by Strawhatz. Another great choice there from PCF. (thanks for the 10 more points too, good start so far x)

Why 'Panama'?

I found 'Panama' while checking out the FM4 Chart (the chart of an Austrian radio station) some months ago. Not a me-entry, but I really like it. I thought of sending it to BJSC but I guess it fits here a bit more (can't see it doing too well though, there are many samey entries. I hope I'll manage to avoid bottom 10, not something I'd usually send but it won me over after some listens, such a great track![

Oh that's the one I thought was yours Lewww so I was wrong!

 

It just reminded me of a Trentemøller track and I could only think of you as the other big fan of that sound on the board.

Ooh so many great songs being revealed early! That was such a highlight Frank - should be top 10 minimum tbh.

I always underestimate how much everyone leaves these things to the last minute, really wasn't expecting my votes to be revealed this early!!
