Anti-democrats. They don't want us voting. They are like the disco citizens aristocracy who restricted the vote to the landed rich only.

 You do talk a load of crap Michael. Everyone over 18 has a vote.

What I dislike the most is this constant reframing by certain people over a certain age of people into 'adults' and 'young people' who 'don't know the way of the world' etc.

I don't mind that so much when you're talking about adults and teenagers, although it's still limiting, but over and under 30s? 40s, like in that tweet? Someone who is 35 will be a decade and a half at least into a working life, may be a manager, have a long term partner or kids, be two decades out of school, etc.

It just smacks of a very narrow definition of adulthood and rationality that certain people want to deliberately set up so that it only applies to themselves and their peers so that they have something to pat themselves on the back over. How about instead recognising that you don't have a monopoly on growing up?

That tweet is ridiculous.

"Listen young(ish) adults, we know you took a lot of the brunt of the financial crisis, worry about your kids future and are tired of being less financial secure than your parents...but can´t you just vote for more of the same...pwwweeeaase?"

Pathetic

Ah, but Michael still thinks this is the 18th century...

Sounds like vidcapper. Ans yet the disco citizens DID restrict the vote to the landed rich, and on twitter they are showing they still want that lol.

Wonder if he knows women have the vote. :???:

I'm sure it'll be published soon. :)

How do you define soon? Don't you think it ought to be published BEFORE the election? If not, why?

Maybe. Maybe not. What does it have to do with the election anyway? Am sure they're far busier with election plans than to rush that out.

It's about democracy. We have a right to know whether a foreign power influenced the last election. People can decide for themselves what to do with that information, but holding it back stinks.

If you read the article, you would have noticed that the report is ready for publication. It would take almost no time at all to publish it. As the usual deadline for publishing has passed, it would hardly be a case of rushing it out.

This is extremely dangerous to our democracy.

We know that the electorate has no trouble believing lies and now Facebook openly admits to allowing lies. When they allow the mask to slip this much, that’s when they’re confident. We should be stamping this out.

I agree.

Yes me too. Don't like the sound of it at all. Shame on Facebook.

Interesting that over 17m people knew what they were voting for when Boris, Gove, Farage, even the bloody DUP can't agree on it. I think if this is the start of a campaign, it will ultimately come down to who do Leave voters trust more out of Farage and Boris..

Farage has just been on Andrew Marr rubbishing Boris's deal and saying he's putting a Brexit candidate in every constituency. He's not standing himself though.

Like I said yesterday, it's rightwing gaslighting. The left has great social media preswnces. Okay. How to undermine that? Oh, allow LIES to be put out willy nilly. Then the befuddled public has no choice but to turn to the hard right press and one party state media channels. Those are full of right wing pro government propaganda like a failed state. Whoops. More brainwashing.

I’ll admit I assumed the trash fire policy was already global but that it was only the US and it’s being extended after such a backlash is deeply damaging and highly suspicious. f*** Russia, Facebook are now the single largest threat to democracy globally. If we had a functioning executive we could legislate against this.

*This* is one place where being in the EU pays dividends. We can legislate at the continental level to prevent malicious acts by malicious companies to protect all of our democracies from attack. We stand stronger together against the US tech giants
