So 'Dance Monkey' will break the record for the longest number 1 by a female artist in the UK although she is no longer actually No1.

 

If all sales were counted, the Top 3 this week would currently be

 

1 (2) All I Want For Christmas Is You

2 (1) Dance Monkey

3 (3) Last Christmas

 

When we have fake chart records, the charts become a joke for me.

It's not just ACR but all the changes to streaming ratios over the last few years that mean we can't compare like with like anymore (e.g. if the ratio had been 150:1 or there had been a free/paid split in 2016, One Dance would have had a much shorter run at #1).

Camila is promoted in the media as this big female popstar like Katy Perry/Ariana Grande yet all she is is an average successful singer with a few hits and then flops

Honestly very surprised at Liam Payne being that high, I was expecting him and Camila to both be low top 20 if they were lucky, I wasn't ruling out Liam even getting a ZAYN second album esque result! (Obviously this is Liam's first album but still).

Oh yeah, Harry "could do a Liam Payne" especially with #1 album on pre-orders chart on iTunes and #3 album on Apple Music with only 3 songs out.

Liam must be so high due to the streams of the Xmas song + the 9 singles tugged at the end of the album :D

Liam only has 2 songs in the top 1,500 on Apple Music ('Stack It Up' at #351 and 'All I Want (For Christmas)' at #1040), I don't think his old singles are racking up that much in residual streams lol ~

If The Who get the #1, it will be only their 2nd number 1 album ever - the last was in 1971! What an achievement that would be.

The Ellie position still makes no sense to me!

 

She’s at 3 on Amazon Music most played...I would have thought to get those sorts of sales she’d be sitting at the top with huge steams

Camila is an artist who does good on streaming sites though so after Xmas is over and we move into January I do feel that the album will have staying power of sorts.

 

I can’t see this album being saved, the whole era has been a tumbleweed and all the material hasn't had a favourable response.

 

It's a shame really, when her first album was released I thought she was in a position to make a big name for herself but they dropped the ball for the rest of the campaign and now this.

and she had one of the biggest hits of the year with Senorita so she was on a good position to get a hit album too
