The sales chart is the only chart that's real. You might as well read the bible or Harry Potter. The charts are a massive joke and an insult to artists who charted before all this streaming nonsense.

Wow Rod taking the number 1 spot, wish aul Robbie could manage it again for a second week before next weeks big NEs. Thought his TV show would have guaranteed this. Sales of 40k or just over for the top 3 aint great really in the second week of December.

Where is Christmas by Michael Buble?

Looks like if Tones goes onto ACR Stormzy will have the biggest sales if the current songs, Ellie already 5k behind him this week although she could be mid week no1 pending how many Ladbaby and any other surprise sells.

Lewis SYL doing well to be top 40 still with the xmas songs but it'll inevitably fall out for 1 week in the week after xmas which is annoying as its nearly 1 year in the top 40 now.

Ellie is going to fall outside the top 10, it’s only doing 3k a day :/

This seems like Amazon trying to stay low key after the big buzz around playlist manipulation

Loving the song that was definitely the most popular song in the UK last week, 'Run' by The X Factor Celebrities 2019 :cheer: we stan an accurate and real chart.

Would much prefer Rod Stewart to take pole position this week ahead of the Who and Robbie Williams.

yes let's dump streaming and crown Run by the X-Factor Celebrities as the true UK #1 instead of Dance Monkey

would be nice to have a chart with positions 51-100 all tied with 1 sale :D

I'd welcome Rod having a week at #1 just for chart geekery purposes of having a top 3 of debuts that all end up being #1s, with loads of #1 albums between the 3 of them – but hopefully Robbie or Stormzy take Christmas #1.
I would be extremely shocked if Rod ended up higher than Stormzy and Harry next week.
If Rod does hold #1 this week I'm curious as to whether it'd be a chart first that there was a top 3 of new entries with the #2 rising to #1 one week later and the #3 rising to #1 two weeks later.
I really thought Lucid Dreams would be top 40 today. :o

Me too. All the supermarkets seem to just stock the one disc edition for £10 and the 2 disc is only £2 dearer on Amazon and you get 7 extra tracks.

So you'd prefer a fake chart

no I want a chart that reflects how people are consuming music, charts have to evolve and adapt, when a format becomes obsolete, we have to say goodbye and embrace the new format, what do you want a chart based on a format 5 people still use?

I don't like playlists either and I would change 99% of the chart rules but streaming has to be in the charts cos thats how 99% of the people consume music now

The playlists are annoying and def effect what people listen to passively but it is similar to the new releases being at the fore front of record stores and the iTunes Store.

It should go there next week when it’s back to SCR

ok that's a bit of an overstatement, you still need to sell at least 3 figures to make top 100 sales
