Predictable. So predictable that I actually predicted that a few days ago

I predicted that several weeks ago.

I think it’s exciting and do care about the result, let’s hope the senate votes in January make things easier for the Dems in the Senate!

I did slightly cop out by hedging my prediction on FL as a literal 50/50 but if I grant myself as leaning towards predicting FL to go Trump (because I don't truly trust Florida despite any evidence, and I'm even more untrusting of Florida now than I was then), my prediction just before the election looks like it might end up being only 1 electoral vote out and only miscalling 2 states (that is, if Biden wins AZ/GA/NV/PA and Trump wins NC I will have only been wrong by getting GA and NC the wrong way round, not bad considering GA is going to be a near coin flip and NC might end up being extremely close too).

 

It's weird to think that that prediction was for a win I'd have considered comfortable if underwhelming, and the final result might actually be very slightly better than I predicted yet it'd feel much more disappointing than if it had been confirmed on the night. The period of time between Miami's results and Arizona's first results was really scary and made it feel like any eventual Biden win would be by the literal skin of his teeth.

Yes, the phrase "The polls would need to be historically wrong for Biden to not win" almost came back to haunt you!

I was still right though!!! The polls are looking like they'll be about as wrong as they were in 2016 (in fact they were even worse in a few states) and Biden will still win. :lol:

 

The Biden +17 poll in Wisconsin was an absolutely absurd outlier, even the consensus polls there were unacceptably far out. But the Selzer poll in Iowa turned out to be pretty much bang on the money despite everyone (including myself) rationalising it as being a big outlier in the other direction.

Former Trump strategist (and friend of Johnson and Cummings) Steve Bannon has made a video calling for Anthony Fauci to be beheaded and for his head to be put on a stake "as a warning".

Are the polls that wrong when 13% of postal votes, and a big part of Biden's vote, were wiped out by shenanigans, plus 38% of them in the south of Florida?

It's been a lot better than 2016 that's for sure! Election night definitely was exciting, It's becoming more agonising now though with the results staying static since yesterday.
