Well I assume the Trump team want to force the issue: if he won’t do a digital debate, they may want to try and push for in person (with added restrictions etc) and the possibility that Biden might then be the one to call it off could play into the “Trump is stronger” narrative. Whatever happens, the commission will want the debate to go ahead in some form.

Nancy to try and remove Trump from duties.

From ITV News:

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is questioning President Donald Trump’s fitness to serve, announcing legislation that would create a commission to allow Congress to intervene under the US Constitution’s 25th Amendment and remove the president from executive duties.

Just weeks before the November 3 election, Ms Pelosi said Mr Trump needed to disclose more about his health after his Covid-19 diagnosis.

She noted Mr Trump’s “strange tweet” halting talks on a new coronavirus aid package — he subsequently tried to reverse course — and said Americans needed to know when, exactly, he first contracted Covid as others in the White House became infected.

On Friday, she plans to roll out the legislation that would launch the commission for review.

“The public needs to know the health condition of the president,” Ms Pelosi said, later invoking the 25th Amendment, which allows a president’s cabinet or Congress to intervene when a president is unable to conduct the duties of the office.

Mr Trump responded swiftly via Twitter.

“Crazy Nancy is the one who should be under observation. They don’t call her Crazy for nothing!” the president said.

Whereas that, I suppose, represents the thoughts of a sane and rational president,

I mean. I’d argue that his fitness for office, or rather his lack thereof, has been questionable since 2016. Why now. The psycho is clearly unhinged and always has been.

And what a baby for pulling out the virtual debate. It’s clearly because he can’t promote his small dick energy all over the stage and talk over everyone and everything because he thinks it makes him look strong when I’m reality all it does is confirm to the world that they were right. He’s just a small minded weak bed wetter with an ego issue who feels threatened by people who are smarter and well, just better humans.

Or, to put it more succinctly "almost everyone".

Why would a PRESIDENT resort to dedicating an entire tweet to just calling someone a name. As if this is kindergarten. He’s completely unhinged and should be committed.

Same tactic as Johnson, pulling out of scrutiny as the election nears. He didn't do well from the first debate or out of his diagnosis, the polls for Biden have been shooting up to the point where Biden nearly has a double-digit lead nationally. He's going to lose big. Such a f***ing child, as always.

25th Amendment being appropriate to enforce or not, I've seen a lot more of Republicans being able to call this a coup and letting the cultists go off on their conspiracy theories about forced removal than I have Democrats stating the reasons for it, which means yet again the Democrats are failing to control the narrative. I suspect what's actually happening is that Pence was forced to cancel some events because Trump's getting another wave of covid and Pelosi jumped the gun a bit.

I do think Pelosi needs to go, for several reasons but primarily because her reading of situations re. Trump hasn’t proven to be altogether effective. Doing the “right” thing or following precedent is fine when you’re dealing with a status quo Republican but Trump needs a wholly different approach. As Iz says it’s stuff like letting Republicans control the narrative which undermines what is being done. I know that isn’t totally within her control, but Pete Buttigieg has shown it’s very easy to shut down the whole bullshitstorm in a few sentences. They need more of that.

Agreed. People love to do the 'yas queen!' with Pelosi but she has been massively ineffective for years now.

Trump has apparently cancelled plans to hold rallies this weekend. Good evidence that he probably isn't as healthy as he's claiming to be. We are approaching the point in the infection timeline where COVID symptoms can make a resurgence and where people either start recovering properly or get sharply much worse. I'd guess this may also be why he pulled out of the originally scheduled second debate.
Without going all conspiracy nut on it, it does seem to be fairly widespread among the WH staff and Team Trump. More so than we’ve been told.
Rumours that if Trump does lose the election then his next project will be to try to set up a new news channel called Trump News. No doubt with no fake news. Doesn't seem the type of man to ever retire does he?

You had a small spelling mistake there Chris, i've taken the liberty of fixing that for you x

Trump Lies is a better title. His Twitter is literally that 24/7, no need to take it further

I imagine Trump News will also employ several hundred writers to create all the “news” and keep it fresh and exciting and entirely, 100% fabricated and detached from reality.
