Oh my at that reply.

I think Biden should be doing more of his drive in rallies per day to try and rival Trump (and try and shake off the Sleepy Joe criticism from Republicans in the process) that's what advice I would have given him if I was one of his advisors.

Is there going to be an exit poll revealed on Tuesday before the results start coming in?

I don't think they do exit polls in the US election

We know Trump wears adult nappies - we've seen the pictures.

But sure, Biden is 'crazy' and 'senile'.

We all know why people support Trump and they dance around it. Because they're bigots and don't like being called on it. They'll think of all sorts of weasel words to explain why they aren't, but let's, to take a Trump phrase, call a spade a spade about it.

No I read there was but it’s not as effective due to the method of voting and calculating the electoral college votes.

Why all these rappers are endorsing Trump...I just don't get it!!!

50 Cent went back I believe, I think he got a backlash from anyone who still pays attention to him (unsurprisingly), and also proved to a nation that he didn't understand how progressive tax brackets work.

Biden and Trump are probably equally cogent, but if it matters, Biden is so much funnier. That smile, the twinkle in his eye, he's far more charming. Compared to Trump who always looks lazy and sounds intimidating. Jesus, if you want a President to have charisma, it's pretty clear who's the pick.

Yeah they do sample people as they leave - but this year in particular with so many people voting early it won’t really mean much.

Yes I read they do some too but don't remember them being mentioned by CNN last time. I watched Sky News and they just take CNN's coverage from midnight. Don't have their own anchor. ITV are on air with results all night too and of course BBC News channel.

Re: the funny aspect, Tr*mp always looks condescending and has that awful smirk of being better than everyone else. I have never seen him excel at comedy or telling a single joke that is just funny without going too far. He’s really lacking in vulnerability which people appreciate as it, you know, makes a person seem human. That’s partly why for me Trqmp is a monster and it’s extremely difficult for me to relate to him even if we drop his fascism from consideration for a second and judge him merely based on the personality.

just seen a trump ad that had zero political content other than a "comical" voice-over saying "it's 10 pm, does joe biden know where joe biden is?" [note: it was, in fact, 4:30 am]

they stopped trying to win people over a while ago, it's just about providing "entertainment" for his base now

From BBC News:

These are the poll closing times for the key states:-All times BST Wednesday.

0000 - Georgia (16), Florida* (29)

0030 - North Carolina (15), Ohio (18)

0100 - Michigan* (16), Pennsylvania (20), Texas * (38)

0200 - Wisconsin (10), Arizona (11)

0300 - Iowa (6)

Electoral College numbers in brackets. States with a * have two time zones and some polls close an hour later than the time stated.

Assuming Biden retains all the States that Clinton won in 2016 (and he is leading in all but Nevada by over 8.5%) then he needs 38 from the key states. Already leading by over 9% in Wisconsin and Michigan. Biden leads in all key states currently save for Ohio and Texas but in most lead is 2% or less either way. Currently a 3.6% Biden lead in Pennsylvania.

Keep an eye on Nevada (6) from 0300 where Biden lead is 6.4% - seen as the most vulnerable of Democratic held states. Lose that and Biden needs 44 from the key states above.

Texas has now passed 100% of its 2016 vote total too! Likely to be much more important come next week than Hawaii.

I think Trump will hold Texas and take Florida but Joe still has plenty of other routes to win well.

The 'entertainment' factor does work in Trump's favour, Biden is seen as the 'boring' candidate, I think Trump is able to motivate Republican voters better than Biden, its the anti-Trump factor that does the main job of motivating the Democrat voter base rather than Biden himself I think.

The difference is Democratic voters are motivated to vote for their politicians based on policy, vision and wanting the to change. Which I understand is anathema to Republicans (and all nationalists) who only vote out of fear and hatred. Biden is not the future of the Democratic Party (not least due to his age), but Democratic voters are definitely as enthusiastic to vote this time as Republicans..
Anyone seen the Twitter pics of shop, cafes, restaurants and offices in Washington DC boarding up their windows before election day? Pretty scary that. Better safe than sorry I suppose.
