January 5, 20206 yr The shift to Amazon becoming a dominant player in the streaming market is becoming more apparent each week. What about this update makes you say that? The chart overall is still not greatly different to the Spotify chart. Amazon has more influence on the First Look chart because they report their data quicker, they're obviously gaining market share but they're hardly 'dominant' (yet). For example, that thread posted the other day with Amazon chart updates had 'Shotgun' in the top 5 (or possibly #1? the Amazon charts confuse me), and that is back on SCR this week, yet it isn't top 20 even on an update that is likely more tilted to Amazon than the final chart will be.
January 5, 20206 yr How come The Box is not yet top 20 in the UK... Edited January 5, 20206 yr by SKOB
January 5, 20206 yr Well, a ton of older songs going back to SCR isn't helping it much :P has only just gone top 20 on Spotify, it'll get there soon if not by the end of this week.
January 5, 20206 yr Well R1 should be playlisting Yummy on Friday which could help it to climb the week after
January 5, 20206 yr However you look at it, that is a MASSIVE under-performance from Bieber. Just goes to show no one is guaranteed a #1 in this day and age.
January 5, 20206 yr Well R1 should be playlisting Yummy on Friday which could help it to climb the week after They already have playlisted it
January 5, 20206 yr Hopefully they'll just brush 'Yummy' under the carpet and quickly rush something better out. (Assuming they even have anything better up their sleeve).
January 5, 20206 yr Maybe it was a test to see how well a Bieber single could do by name power alone?
January 5, 20206 yr Didn't expect such a big fall for jax and ella. I think it will end around 15 this week which is good
January 6, 20206 yr LMAO I can't @ songs like Someone You Loved being on SCR now when no matter what Mariah did with her huge Xmas hit couldn't manage that.
January 6, 20206 yr LMAO I can't @ songs like Someone You Loved being on SCR now when no matter what Mariah did with her huge Xmas hit couldn't manage that. Well it's simply down to whether it's more than three years old or not, which Someone You Loved isn't and AIWFCIY is.
January 6, 20206 yr That's super artificial but I guess everything is now (including removing Motion Picture Cast Recordings from album chart).
January 6, 20206 yr Spotify still not up to date (no chart for 04/01 yet) so today's mids are going to be fun/inaccurate.
