January 9, 20206 yr Because they were released in the same week and both blocked from #1 by Rod Stewart but still have their chance to belatedly climb to the top I guess? x Wow at Stormzy's album actually pulling out to a decent lead now, great to see! I see MIST moving up into the top 40 on the singles chart as well, better to have 2 new entries than just one I suppose, his song is not really up to much although he's had worse. Poor Pinkfong though!Yeah I’m aware they were released the same week but still they make completely different music  . I could get it if they were both two rappers or two pop/rock singers but it’s just a weird comparison at least for me anyways .
January 9, 20206 yr You can both subjectively and objectively compare two things by rating them out of 10 on their merits and then comparing that score. Edited January 9, 20206 yr by Burns
January 9, 20206 yr Incidentally when would be the last time the artists of the top 2 in both charts were the same? (In the same order that is - obviously last week had Stormzy and Lewis as the top 2 in both charts but both were #1 in one chart and #2 in the other). Adele / Jessie J spring to mind in March 2011 though I'd be surprised if that's the last time

January 9, 20206 yr Bieber actually climbing over the mids is definitely not something I'd have predicted at the start of the week lol ~ Ooh at 'Blinding Lights' possibly making the top 10 even amongst all the resets *.* really hope he'll hang on there. Yay for 'The Box' now being top 20 as well (and Roddy seems destined to be at the same position in both charts, #40 on both charts last week and now #20 on both charts in this update )
January 9, 20206 yr No sign of the Wolfe Tones I see. This is why you put someone who actually understands the chart week in charge of your campaigns.
January 9, 20206 yr No sign of the Wolfe Tones I see. This is why you put someone who actually understands the chart week in charge of your campaigns. Not even top 100 in today's update, would need to sell a lot today in order to make it in!
January 9, 20206 yr The 3 album signings, 2 ticket/CD bundle shows, reduction to £4.99 at Amazon, HMV, Sainsbury’s and iTunes plus signed CDs on his website for £5 have worked wonders for Stormzy this week.
January 9, 20206 yr Not even top 100 in today's update, would need to sell a lot today in order to make it in! lol it hit #1 7 hours ago, how do you want it to be in today's mids? sure it's done just 1k today so won't go far with a 0 from streams Edited January 9, 20206 yr by Bjork
