Not really as I think any price rises will be minimal.

With the way UC is now surely even small price rises would affect your spending power?

I'm not on UC. Am on ESA in the Support Group and my wife works too which is allowed as I don't get any increase for her. We're not exactly poor.

Sky News says the fishing issue and other stumbling block has almost been solved but now the EU are putting other demands in the way. So they'll be to blame for NO DEAL then. Boris has done his best.
Boris has has 361 days so far, so really, it’s all on him.

No, he hasn't.

That's what Boris wants you to think, because when a deal is done (which it will be in the next few days, finally) he can say that the EU caved and that the UK held firm. Keep lapping up that propaganda Chris.

From The Sun:

BORIS Johnson has blinked first and offered to ditch the controversial internal market bill to salvage a last minute post-Brexit trade deal with the EU.

According to the BBC's Kayta Aldler tonight, the offer has been well received by the EU but it remains unclear whether it will end the trade talks stalemate.

Last night the EU's Chief Brexit negotiator Michel Barnier warned there were just 48 hours to salvage a deal after the UK and the EU spent months failing to reach an agreement on several key areas, including fishing rights.

This afternoon Boris had a crunch phone call with his EU counterpart Ursula Von Der Leyen in which he was reportedly set to walk away from negotiations within hours unless the EU backs down to the UK's demands.

Walking away from talks would essentially mean Britain accepting no trade deal with the EU when the Brexit transition period ends on December 31.

Wonder how the dup will take that!

Peter Bone was on the Ch4 news saying he’s confident the PM will get a deal acceptable to the ERG!

What a curious way of saying the UK caved to the EU's demands

(And rightfully so)

The ERG wants no deal, that is the only acceptable deal to them.

Not the way he was talking last night tbf

The ERG just want to save face, but we'll see in the last moments that it will be the UK (not the EU) that caves. Always was going to be the way after Biden won in the US Election and Johnson became increasingly isolated.

So Boris is having dinner in Brussels tonight with Ursula as The Sun urges him on behalf of the electorate not to make any more compromises just to get a deal before Christmas.

A three-course dinner - or, in Johnson's terms, a light snack.

On behalf of the electorate?!

Good f***ing grief!

Ch.4. News saying there has been no movement today in the talks and still no agreement.
