Jake is a nice guy who hustles to keep himself in work, whether it be panto, music, theatre, reality tv. Nice that he has done this for charity, any money going to good causes right now is a good thing. Good on him.

Small nitpick but Adam wasn't the singer, he was their bassist. He worked as a songwriter for a ton of other people too, Fountains Of Wayne was just the one moderately well-known band he was in.

 

Sad news of course, inevitable that we'll see quite a few musicians dying from COVID-19 in the near future, he's on the younger end of victims of the virus though D:
