The editing this season is really off due to Sherry Pie. If he wasn't doing well you wouldn't even know he was there, which is the point I guess. I assume they don't want people starting to root for a DQ Queen.

Widow's runway was HIDEOUS, Gigi had the best but I also stanned Jan's.

 

Can't wait for the Madonna Rusical, such a perfect choice! Echoing the hope for Jan to get a win as the singer of the group, but I can imagine her being one of those who is all like "omg I'm a singer this is MY challenge" and taking it too seriously. But then that got Kameron a win in S10 for the Cher one!

Shame at the evictee - as I really wanted them to send Brita home. The bottom 3 are all dead weights. At the moment I can see top 3 as Gigi, Jackie and Jan

Similar thing happened with Series 6 - the show 1 girls all dropped quite quickly barring Adore and Ben (and Laganga (ish))

It was a pretty good snatch game, nothing really overly impressed me but that's probably because we've had so many snatch games now and there's not much else the queens can do. Good runway as well, Sherry has been killing it on the runway - massive shout out to her designers who have killed it every week so far. Who'd have thought the overly campy NYC queen would be the fashion queen.

Gigi is a really smart queen who knows how to work the show, she pretty much is just the next Aquaria which is a compliment but also it does feel a little like we've seen this before where a 21 year old looks queen comes in and is lovable and shows she has a good personality as well

 

 

My problem with this season so far is the kinda lack of diversity of who is doing well and who is doing bad.

Most weeks we can expect Gigi, Sherry and Jackie to do well and Crytsal, Aiden and Brita to not do well and most of the time the rest will fall in the middle

We're probably half way through the main part of the series snow and there's not really been any storylines in terms of redemptions arcs or underdogs or fall from graces yet

As for Sh*rry, I don't think it's right they edit out the runway (because mostly, that's on the great designers who do her costumes and frankly deserve to be showcased) but they show her being praised to high heavens? :lol: I guess it's way easier to edit out a runway than it is to edit out her placing high and getting good critiques.

 

Completely agree with this. We know now that Sherry didn't make most of her runways herself, so it is unfair to the people who put in all the hardwork making them not to be able to have them showcased. Especially because most of them are great as well and they are already having a hard time because of the connotations with Sherry.

They didn't really need to show her critiques unless she wins or is in the bottom 2 IMO.

I feel like Crystal may be ramping up to do an Adore as Ru seems to be protecting her. I was happy to see her clear the lipsync this week but she really struggled with Snatch Game despite Ru going out of her way to help her.

 

Gigi's robot was decent and well acted but I would probably have given this win to Jackie who, as the judges pointed out, really researched the part and got the look and mannerisms down pat. Her runway was also I think more suitable than Gigi's for the requirement - eleganza, Gigi's was a bit pedestrian and relied on the contrast between it and her Snatch character.

 

Slightly baffled by the edit of Sherry in this episode. Presumably her Snatch Game was great, but it didn't seem particularly solid from the several clips they showed us - quite one note. But surely they'd show us her best bits if they were showing her at all? Well acted I thought but over-relied on the one joke and wasn't particularly witty apart from that. Epic runway though, but as said, she didn't design it herself sooo....

 

Wonder how long Brita will play lipsync assassin. One would imagine the next time she hits B2 she'll go as it'll be her third trip down there! Twice in four episodes plus a low is not a good run so far.

 

As for Aiden, thought the right person went. I don't think it's right how the other queens have singled her out for unfair comments in a bullying manner, however on the flip, she *has* been lazy and costumed and performed at a lower level than others under the guise of that being a deliberate performance choice. I feel like that excuse came undone a little in this episode. To say nothing of choosing an obscure celebrity in the first place! Honestly don't think I've seen a worse Snatch Game than Aiden's performance here.

Excellent episode, correct judging for me. Gigi was the rightful winner although Crystal had the best runway for sure but loads of good runways as a whole. Loved that lipsync so much how fun and Aiden’s exit was a teeny bit iconic!

Jan's runways are consistently AMAZING, yet she's always overlooked. Her Snatch Game character wasn't exactly laugh-out-loud hilarious, but she did an okay job. Hopefully next week she's coming to slay with the musical challenge. :cry:

 

Can't fault anything about Gigi this week. Snatch Game was perfect and she had me in stitches the whole time, runway look was great. Think she's got the whole thing just about wrapped up unless someone sneaks up from behind.

 

I'm glad Brita stayed just so we could FINALLY get rid of Aiden (that Snatch Game character has got to be down there with the absolute worst we've ever seen?), but she's really starting to piss me off now too.

There is nothing left to say since you all basically covered everything but I am so proud of Gigi :wub:

 

She was and still is my favorite since episode 1 and I am so so hoping she'll be the winner.

 

I haven't been this excited about the queen since Violet Chachki :wub:

I actually feel horrible for the people who designed sh*rry's outfits like it's right they edit her out but to not showcase her work is kinda a slap to the designer who worked so hard making it and is already having s hard time from just being associated with problematic pie.

 

As for the episode, MY f***ING GOD GIGI f***ING GREATE more like. That snatch game could be in my top 5 now. Like so f***ing good. My favourite runway was either Jan or Crystal. Both well thought out concepts.

 

No surprise Aiden gone I did like her but I do think she was out of her depth.

An overall good epsiode! My favourite was Jackie - I thought she should've won. Gigi did good, but I didn't think she was amazing. Aiden was dreadful. Brita and Crystal not much better. Widow, Hedi and Jan were decent too. I thought Jaida was a bit dissapointing given her character - she could really ramp it up. When Heidi brought out widow's shoe I was low-key hoping Jaida would take it and throw it :lol:

 

Sherry was so going to be the winner of this season though lbr.

 

Gigi seems to be getting the Violet/Aquaria edit/story line - so unless she's a shock elimination or gets trounced in the LSFYL ala Shea, she's likely the one who's going to win.

 

My only dislike this episode was Brita going through. I was hoping Aiden was somehow going to pull out all the stops and surprise everyone by destroying Brita in the lip sync. Pull off her gloves with snow coming out, tearing her dress to reveal something or other. However, she gave a disappointing lip sync and didn't look like she even knew the words half the time!

 

The LSFYLs this season have been almost as bad as the ones in DRUK :lol:

Gigi's performance was freaking amazing. The Siri and Alexa shoutout was so fun.

 

I never understood the argument that no one is gonna know who Poppy is, like wasn't she one of the biggest memes of 2017? She was even featured on YouTube Rewind! Crystal was very accurate to the character in demeanor but the voice could have been altered a bit and she could have injected so much more. It just seemed to be more about death metal rather than saying random things at the weirdest times which is what Poppy's interactions are.

I really started to rate her more this week, though sadly I thought her runway was a bit naff. Nobody's was very good to be fair, I don't really agree with the idea that Jan's runways are amazing, thought they are always among the most creative and unique, hers or Crystals would be my pick of the week. Widows was HORRIBBLE!!!

I echo the Gigi love - her SG was the star of the show and up there with the best imo. Her and Jackie are definitely my two faves so far.
