Interesting to see Intentions get a new peak - somehow it doesn't feel as big as it has been. No complaints though, I still really like it!

Amalaratna Zandile Dlamini (born October 21, 1995), known professionally as Doja Cat, is an American rapper, singer, songwriter and record producer. Born and raised in Los Angeles, she signed a recording contract with RCA Records in 2014, subsequently releasing her debut extended play, Purrr!, and a series of singles, including "Go to Town" and "So High". In 2018, Doja Cat rose to prominence and internet fame with her single "Mooo!", which became a viral music video and ultimately "set the tone for her career".

Doja Cat released her debut studio album, Amala, in 2018 and a deluxe repackage in 2019, which included the single "Tia Tamera". She released the single "Juicy" in August 2019 which reached number 41 on the US Billboard Hot 100, earning Doja Cat her first entry on the chart. In November 2019, Doja Cat released her second studio album, Hot Pink, which entered the chart in over 10 countries including the United States, Canada, Australia, United Kingdom, Ireland and New Zealand. 5SOS were so desperate to rob Dua Lipa of her number 1 that they resorted to such cheap tactics such as pushing their crazed fans to purchase multiple copies of a cassette we all know they will never use not mentioning begging their famous friends to tweet about it, and then asking their fans to buy even more copies to donate to the NHS in a desperate stunt to generate more sales...

it still sounds fishy that they managed to grab 12k last day so maybe its something that should be investigated further...

It doesn't matter...in the end talent wins and we know Dua is the queen of longevity both in singles and in albums!!!

I mean, you could argue Dua Lipa was going to "rob" 5SOS of their #1 - she moved her release forward.

crazy to see 80s sound coming back again barely 5-6 years since the last time it did

I remain baffled by Justin Bieber's success. the guy is clearly pretty severely mentally ill right now

Biography

Dua Lipa (/ˈduːə ˈliːpə/; Albanian pronunciation: [ˈdua ˈlipa]; born 22 August 1995) is an English singer, songwriter and model. After working as a model, she signed with Warner Music Group in 2015 and released her eponymous debut album in 2017. The album reached number three on the UK Albums Chart, and yielded seven singles, including "Be the One" and "IDGAF", and the UK number-one single "New Rules", which also reached number six in the US. In 2018, Lipa won the Brit Awards for British Female Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Act.

Released in April 2018, the single "One Kiss", with Calvin Harris, reached number one in the UK, and became the longest running number one single for a female artist in 2018. It won her the 2019 Brit Award for Song of the Year. In 2019, she also received the Grammy Award for Best New Artist, and "Electricity", a duet with Silk City, won her the Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording. The success of the singles helped her self-titled album become one of the most-streamed albums on Spotify and achieve platinum certifications. Her second studio album, Future Nostalgia was released in March 2020, to critical acclaim. Its lead single "Don't Start Now" reached number two on the UK Singles Chart and the US Billboard Hot 100. - Wikipedia

That's news to me :o

Break My Heart is really good, very very close to 3 in the top 5!

Love love love 'Break My Heart' and Dua's album is the best album of the year. So pleased for all of her success.
Actually listening live for the first time in years! Break My Heart already sounds like a well established hit so it was funny to be reminded this is only its debut week. Enjoying this

Because a mental illness stops you from making music, obviously.

Here comes the Two Lips domination.

Break My Heart is mostly good but the stuttery singing bit at the start of the chorus I find a bit annoying.

Biography

British DJ and producer Joel Corry's bright, bass-heavy house tracks are chiefly inspired by 1990s-2000s U.K. garage and R&B, mixing upbeat rhythms with yearning sentiments. Following several singles released throughout the second half of the 2010s, he hit big in 2019 with a cover of Monsta Boy's "Sorry."

Corry grew up during the height of the U.K. garage explosion, and started to DJ when he was 13. Professionally active as the owner of a personal training business as well as a gym and leisurewear company, he first caught the public's eye when he starred in the reality show Geordie Shore. Corry released his first two dance singles, "Back Again" and "Light It Up," in 2015. He began hosting a specialty show on KISS FM in 2017, and holds down summer residencies in Ibiza, Zante, Ayia Napa, and several other clubbing hot spots. In 2019, he released a cover of Monsta Boy's 2000 U.K. garage hit "Sorry (I Didn't Know)," retitled "Sorry" and featuring vocalist Hayley May. After being featured on the British reality TV series Love Island, the song reached the Top Ten in the United Kingdom, Scotland, and Ireland. - iTunes

All this! Had the album on repeat this week, the run of 'Hallucinate' - 'Love Again' - 'Break My Heart' is fantastic.
