April 22, 20206 yr I only just saw Tom had a chance at #1, didn’t realise he’d even released a single!! Incredible times  If Lad Sausage Roll guy can get two #1s, surely Tom can secure the top spot :(
April 22, 20206 yr Sales collapsing by over 80% in one day? Oof I think it'll still hold on but that'll probably now be more reliant on it having a final day push than I thought x
April 22, 20206 yr Is Sawayama top 100 yet? I noticed she was doing exclusive UK vinyls. Only 500 but I assume that would be enough to get her charting if people bought them. I was expecting a Top 40, shame if she even missed 100. Excellent album.
April 22, 20206 yr Has Rina had any mainstream exposure beyond one song making the Radio 1 C-List? I'm not really sure where people were getting expectations for her to chart from, I get the sense she's pretty much entirely unknown outside certain Internet circles. Maybe slightly surprising that she wasn't even top 100 in the mids from whatever fanbase she has but I definitely wouldn't have predicted her to be top 40.
April 22, 20206 yr I had no idea who Rina was until I seen this thread but I’m gonna check the album out based on the strong reviews it’s had on here. She might be someone who takes off after a televised performance somewhere though isn’t what got Christine & The Queens more exposure.
April 22, 20206 yr Shame we’re not still in the physical era as I wonder what the charts would be like if we were still in the physical era Edited April 22, 20206 yr by Hadji

That's a good point tbh, has 'XS' had any playlist exposure on Spotify? It seems to be doing nothing despite the (obviously not that good) airplay. She's basically done an MNEK with this album :(
April 22, 20206 yr You'll Never Walk Alone has 61.7k so far and Blinding Lights 43.0k. Not quite as low for YNWA as the OCC made out in the article then!

April 22, 20206 yr thats more like it but if they didn't even do 4K yesterday while doing 6 times more than the Weeknd on iTunes, it means today they probably even did 2k (they're doing just 3 times more than the Weeknd) so unless they do a final push, The Weeknd could easily catch as he's doing nearly 9k a day and has the extra day of missing streams still to be added

April 22, 20206 yr That's a good point tbh, has 'XS' had any playlist exposure on Spotify? It seems to be doing nothing despite the (obviously not that good) airplay. She's basically done an MNEK with this album :( She's never made the top 200 on Spotify with any song and most likely hasn't ever even come close to it judging by the fact her only charting song on Apple Music is at #875. I wouldn't compare this to MNEK, his failing to even go top 100 was a lot more surprising considering he had had commercial success before that. I think Rina is in a similar boat to someone like Kim Petras who similarly seems like a pretty big artist if you look in the right places on the Internet but at the end of the day she just isn't widely known enough to actually make any chart impact. (Kim of course also an artist Radio 1 has picked up to give some minor support recently). Maybe this little bit of radio support will translate into them becoming more established names who are able to make a bit more noise chart-wise with their next releases.

April 22, 20206 yr I'm shocked that Sam/Demi have dropped all the way down to #20 over the course of the week. I honestly thought it was a dead cert Top 10 debut when I first heard it! I wonder if 'Where We're Going' will manage to hang on to the Top 40? It'll probably just miss out I reckon.
April 22, 20206 yr is there a chance for Break My Heart going top 10? We only have sales from the MW script that has been posted today.
