April 24, 20206 yr Nice chat with Tom but turned off before the song came on haha and listening to the new Regard & Raye song that was posted. Don't think it will do much! Edited April 24, 20206 yr by chrissmith276
April 24, 20206 yr Where do we think this will be next week? I can't see it having as much of a drop as other previous charity songs. Grenfell for example even managed to stay top 3.
April 24, 20206 yr Congrats, great cause... This is f***ing awful, it sounds like a bad Britain's Got Talent audition
April 24, 20206 yr If they're suspiciously close I think we can be fairly confident they would have scaled up/down the numbers respectively, wouldn't be the first time recently. Could you really imagine them saying to Captain Tom "thanks but... your #2", not in any parallel universe. Ppl need a good story at the moment, and even more ridiculous would have been the "official" charts denying him #1 when the others said he was. I know the Thursday streams are upweighted but the OCC won't be falsifying the numbers - surely they'd have actually had a bigger story letting Mariah have the #1 for example. The final push this song got is what secured it the #1 (and it actually wasn't remotely close anyway) The sentiment behind this is really sweet, congrats to them both, though I don't particularly enjoy the song

And that is a big gap tbf.
April 24, 20206 yr 13k lead 82k vs 69k official charts just posted the info. Knew BL wouldn't break 70k this week with his streams being much lower.
April 24, 20206 yr In rubbish bin hopefully out top 40 I be happy God you wouldnt be alive today if it wasnt for people like Captain Tom. Plenty people around would like to see you in the rubbish bin you ungrateful git

Media coverage of him getting to #1 will be huge so I think it will still sell well for a few days at least so hopefully it can get a 2nd week Top 10.

April 24, 20206 yr I reckon BL will be back at #1 next week than a big clear out Yup, it will set a chart record for a track to return to number 1 for a fourth time at the top.
April 24, 20206 yr Is this the fourth time YNWA is #1? And surely Live Lounge Allstars will be #1 next week, not The Weeknd. Edited April 24, 20206 yr by SKOB
