And just like that we lose the second Gareth Gates single before the halfway point. Released as the official Comic Relief single of 2003, Gareth decided to cover the 1969 Norman Greenbaum song with a little help from popular fictional Indian family of the time The Kumars - the video was played an awful lot on the music channels at the time and the Kumars made it very watchable. The track spent a fortnight at #1 in March 2003 - dethroning Christina Aguilera's 'Beautiful' in the process - and finished the year on 550,000 copies sold!

The ad-libs in that song varied from being quite humourous to completely cringeworthy.

A Moment Like This to go.

Right, now I'm going for 'That's My Goal', uninspired dull faux-rousing winner's singles are the bane of my existence.
A shame to see Spirit In The Sky go there, it was a fun cover. Going for A Moment Like This again.
That’s My Goal is next for me but I don’t hate it or anything.

Leona but I’d be equally happy to be rid of HearSay.

The Shayne Ward song at least gave us the iconic AbLisa moment a few years later.
