May 18, 20205 yr It's really far from being my favourite on that album. Same here, the song is too melodramatic for my liking. I wish they released Make U Love Me and did a video for that instead.
May 18, 20205 yr I love This Is a War! I was only a casual fan before the Red Flag era but the highs of their recent output have been so good that I’d consider them one of my favourite pop acts now.
May 18, 20205 yr Author All the reasons why we said it's over #11. All Saints - After All | 7.26 Highest Scores: 10: (dandy, Nick F1, :'), blacksquare, Shoat, Sarah, Jay), 9: (Babyboy), Lowest Scores: 0: (Jesty Cough), 2: (Beef Curtains) Just outside the top 10 at the #11 spot we lose another All Saints phase 3 single "After All", released in July 2018 as the 2nd and final single from their 5th studio album "Testament". The track was written by group member Shaznay Lewis along with Peter Hutchings and William Orbit, With production handled by the latter, making this their first time working together in 18 years on their 2nd album, and it was not until Shaznay and Nicole Appleton ran into him one night in Soho that he suggested working with the band again . Of note based solely on points this would have ranked 16th on here. The scores started strong before faltering in the middle which would have saw this lower down, but thanks to the slew of 10's it received at the end its managed to even out at the 11th spot (not too shabby). Another fine yet intimate number that thanks to Orbit's production recalls some of their earlier glory's (namely "Pure Shores") with it's dream like quality production that oozes class & sophistication without being too consumed by it & some beautiful multi layered vocal harmonies by the group themselves really helps lift this little gem to stand in its own right. Therefore creating yet another brilliant pop gem & why they should still be making music, keep up the good work. akLbMGCKzzc
May 18, 20205 yr I'm still furious at the thought that some people on here could rate a song like After All a 0 or 2!! It should have made the top 5 at least!!Â
May 18, 20205 yr After All is a beauty! I can't at some of those low scores  I wonder if it was from not knowing the song? Same here, the song is too melodramatic for my liking. I wish they released Make U Love Me and did a video for that instead. Make U Love Me is my favourite on the Red Flag album

May 18, 20205 yr Jester is going to have to justify that 0 score! I can only assume he forgot the 1 before it :(
May 18, 20205 yr Jester is going to have to justify that 0 score! I can only assume he forgot the 1 before it :( Their newer music just doesn’t compare with their classics - that’s just my All Saints taste. I’m hindsight I was very harsh on that basis as I was comparing like for like for me. Sorry if I pissed you all off with my 0’s. I’ll be less harsh in future!
May 18, 20205 yr Make U Love Me is my favourite on the Red Flag album  OMG! I could never choose a favourite from that album, there are so many moments! Â Make U Love Me sounded so fresh for 2016 but so 90s All Saints also! The unconventional song structure, moody guitar-driven sound, and that bridge ASCENDED me on first listen!
May 19, 20205 yr Author It's hard to believe there's nobody out there #10. All Saints - Under The Bridge | 7.267 Highest Scores: 11: (Billy), 10: (SamJudd, :'), Babyboy), Lowest Scores: 3: (Shoat), 5: (Scene, dandy, Nick F1, blacksquare, Jade, Beef Curtains, Jonjo) Kicking off the top 10 are All Saints with their flipside single "Under The Bridge", released in April 1998 as the 3rd single from their debut album "All Saints", as a double A-side alongside "Lady Marmalade" (which bowed out at #17) & became their 2nd #1 hit in the UK with sales of 424,799 copies sold & earning a Gold disc, which makes this their 3rd best selling single to date. Like its counterpart this track is also a cover of a Red Hot Chilli Peppers hit back in 1992. The girls version was slightly altered because it contained personal lyrics by Anthony Kiedis, and the All Saints covered it because they liked the overall sound and feeling of the recording. Although they still kept the original samples, however the original singers didn't like this cover & felt that this was poorly recreated. Elsewhere the song was also a big success being released as a double a-side mostly everywhere with top 5 peaks in Ireland, New Zealand & Australia, top 10 in Finland & top 20 peaks in Canada, Netherlands, Norway & Sweden. There are always conflicting opinions on whether this cover is any good or not, but I do think that this leans probably more on the positive side, in which I personally agree & I know the people who love the original have very strong negativity towards this, due to the altering of the lyrics , but I don't mind as I really don't have that strong connection to it & find All Saints version with its muted keyboards on the verses & atmospheric production which really captures the loneliness feeling of the song & of course the girls vocals are on top form here. Of course this was never gonna capture the magic of the original, but on the whole its still a very tasteful cover & quite rightly continued their chart dominance. 9fNkYYxvk-Q Edited May 19, 20205 yr by SamJudd
May 19, 20205 yr Nothing is more 2020 than 'Under The Bridge' placing above 'After All'  Their newer music just doesn’t compare with their classics - that’s just my All Saints taste. I’m hindsight I was very harsh on that basis as I was comparing like for like for me. Sorry if I pissed you all off with my 0’s. I’ll be less harsh in future! 'After All' is the closest they have come to their classics in sound — thank you William Orbit  Edited May 19, 20205 yr by blacksquare
May 20, 20205 yr Author I'm into you like a bad ass tune #9. Shaznay Lewis - Never Felt Like This Before | 7.388 Highest Scores: 10: (Scene, Jonjo, Jay), 9: (Nick F1, Chapman, WinterFreeze, JosephStyles), Lowest Scores: 3: (Hauspital), 5.5/5: (Billy, Davidson) At #9 we finally say goodbye to the last of the All Saints solo numbers with Shaznay Lewis's "Never Felt Like This Before" ranking the highest & proving quite popular with several high scores consisting of 3 10's, 4 9's & mainly 7's & 8's, with very few lower scores. Released in July 2004 as the lead single from her debut solo album "Open" & peaked at #8 on the UK charts, becoming her 1st & only solo top 10 hit, spending 10 weeks on the charts, 5 of which were spent in the top 20. It also found a bit of success elsewhere with a top 20 peak in New Zealand as well as making a minor dent on the German charts. Never expected this to do so well on here, considering all the other solo output dropped out pretty fast, (none of which even reached the top 15), but this is quite a nice surprise, although do feel that it may be a little too high (would have had this around #12-#13). With some softly pulsing electronics & endearing strums, this is a really nice melody that flows along at a brisk pace, but my slight complaint is that her vocals sound a little bored rather than singing about the throes of sexual ecstasy, which kinda makes track playing it way too safe & she should have really let it more loose and have more fun with it. On the whole this is a good song & definitely one of the better solo offerings to date. qXNPvF6v_VU
May 20, 20205 yr I actually really like their version of 'Under The Bridge'. Don't shoot me. That Shaznay song is nice, but not remarkable.
May 20, 20205 yr I really love their version of Under The Bridge, I can totally understand why it's not everyone's cup of tea, but for me it works. I also remember always being very scared of the video  Brings back a lot of memories of being very young! Never Felt Like This Before is a lovely song, Shaznay should have been so much bigger as a solo artist.
May 20, 20205 yr Author Take this time to get things wrong #8. All Saints - Love Lasts Forever | 7.592 Highest Scores: 10: (Scene, SamJudd, dandy, :'), Jonjo), 9: (George.keh, Beef Curtains), Lowest Scores: 0: (Jesty Cough), 5: (vibe) At #8 is the first All Saints era to lose all its singles - "Love Lasts Forever", released in May 2018 as the lead single from their fifth studio album "Testament" & garnered a positive critical reception. The track was written by Shaznay Lewis & producer K-Gee, more than a year prior to its release. It was inspired by Shaznay's son who was about to leave high school, and reflected on the pressure from society to grow and achieve. Melanie Blatt herself listened to the track for 4 hours on repeat and instantly loved it & knew the album itself was going to be amazing (spoiler alert - it was). This is another great effort by the girls which shows that they're to stay & despite not getting the hype & success they used to, they can still make good music (even if it goes criminally unnoticed). With lush hooks & a excellent euphoric chorus to go with it, the production is contemporary & top notch with its electronic textures & beautiful harmonies which adds that extra kick & gives this a well and truly uplifting vibe that continues their pretty impeccable run of singles. The scores for this were overwhelming positive with just 2 low scores & a few middling rates that brought its average down a bit, but despite getting 1 less rate this still managed to score higher than everything that's dropped so far. So on the whole a brilliant tune. qJZ3QmVF5eM
May 21, 20205 yr Author You decide with your heart not your head #7. All Saints - One Woman Man | 7.82 Highest Scores: 10: (SamJudd, Beef Curtains), 9.5/9: (dandy, :'), blacksquare, Billy, Davidson, Tawdry Hepburn, George.keh, JospehStyles, Hauspital, Jay), Lowest Scores: 0: (Jesty Cough), 5: (Shoat) At #7 we have All Saints with "One Woman Man", released in October 2016 as the 3rd and final single from their 4th studio album "Red Flag", along with a five-track remixes EP for digital download. It was originally released as the album's first promotional single in March of that year, following the lead single & received critical praise & even managed to make a minor impact on the UK charts at #192 thanks to digital downloads as well as charting at #84 on both Downloads & Sales charts. The song was written by Shaznay Lewis alongside Dan Radclyffe, whilst production was handled by the latter & K-Cee & lyrically it was inspired directly by their own lives and highlight their diverse personal experiences in the past ten years. Another fantastic anthem by the girls with its nothing to lose defiance set against clipped beats, icy strings & an epic pulsating chorus that's helped by its fantastic production which helps give the track that extra bit of maturity that we'd expect from the group at this point in their careers (something their 3rd album couldn't quite manage), & it's no wonder why long-term fans were raving about this upon first listen, it's simply brilliant, even this would've have made a good comeback choice. Again due to less rates this song's score would have seen it dip below the top 10, but with the overwhelmingly positive scores it received with 2 10's, lots of 9's & mainly 7's & 8's, that even with a full set of scores this may have done better, but #7 is a more than a respectable position. qEIRjzuWsHs
May 21, 20205 yr 'One Woman Man' is fantastic! Definitely my favourite of that era and the one I go back to the most. (The others probably being 'One Strike', 'Puppet On A String' and 'Fear')
